To join the session: Open Microsoft Chat (START, PROGRAMS, INTERNET EXPLORER, MICROSOFT CHAT) A "Welcome to Talk City" message will show up on the Message of the Day. Click OK to close the Message of the Day. At the bottom of your screen, you should see the message: "Now chatting in room #Phno on chat.talkcity.com (TalkCity)". You are now in the PHNO Chat Room. If the room is not moderated, any thing you type in the Dialogue box will be seen by the rest of the people in the room after you hit the ENTER (RETURN) key. During the interview session with the Apo Hiking Society, the room will be moderated in order to make it an orderly session. When the room is moderated, you can only read the messages being typed by the session host and the Guests. If you need to ask a question to the Guests, you will type your question with the prefix: /msg #apo. For example, if you want to ask "How old are you now, Boboy?", you will be typing this command in your dialogue box: /msg #apo How old are you now Boboy? Remember to hit the ENTER (RETURN) key! Your question, will be queued to a private room called #APO where a PHNO Moderator will be choosing the questions on a first-come, first served basis. Questions chosen will be asked to the Apo with the name of the sender. If you need more information, e-mail: webmaster@newsflash.org |
