A musical extravaganza comes to the Shang starting with delightful piano, sax and violin performances at 5 to 10 p.m. today.

The ultimate boutique hub for today’s fashion-forward tweens Sparkle for Girls celebrates Halloween in style. Enjoy an array of activities, parlor games and all the fun stuff girls’ dreams are made of at 5 p.m. on October 19.

What’s cooking at the Shang this Halloween? Get ready for mayhem and magic as it whips up a grand treat at 1:30 p.m. on October 25. Trick or Treat, magic shows, photo and food booths await kids at the Wizard’s Magic Cauldron Halloween party.

Treat yourself to a Monster Concert at 5 p.m. on October 30 as the Suzuki Music Kids engage audiences with their distinct brand of charm.

Also in-store this month is the Marian Exhibit until October 26 at the Shaw Hallway, Level 4, where a treasured collection of life-sized images of the Blessed Mother will be on display.

See the mega cities of Southeast Asia in a new light as the Goethe-Institut Manila in cooperation with Shangri-La Plaza bring Mapping Invisible Cities, a culminating exhibit of German photographer Peter Bialobrzeski’s workshops with young talents in six mega cities of the region.

The exhibit, which runs until November 7 at the Shaw Hallway, Level 3, features the works of 27 photographers, including Pinoys such as: Cathy Quiogue, Che Katigbak, Cris Sevilla, Dennis Rito, Estan Cabigas, Gigie Cruz, Kidlat de Guia and Tammy David.

As its 17th anniversary offering, Ang Illustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK), an organization of Filipino artists committed to the creation and promotion of illustrations for children, presents Tsubibo from October 28 to November 15. Feast your eyes on Ang INK’s masterful creations for the young and the young at heart at the Shaw Hallway, Level 4.
