MANILA, March 10, 2004 (STAR) Singapore Airlines (SIA) recently introduced its newest fleet, the A345 LeaderShip. Aside from setting a new record for the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight starting from Singapore to Los Angeles, SIA’s A345 LeaderShip raises the bar by offering features for the most discriminating traveler.

The fleet features 181 seats set in a two-class configuration comprising of Raffles (business) Class and the new Executive Economy Class. Passengers can indulge in in-flight opulence at an economy class rate with the Executive Economy class. This cabin houses 117 leather-trimmed seats offering a seat pitch of 37 inches and a wider seat width of 20 inches. The seats are also fitted with adjustable leather headrest, an innovative leg-rest and footrest and a personal nine-inch, in-seat video screen that allows access to KrisWorld, SIA’s in-flight entertainment system, housing over 250 entertainment options including films, TV shows and computerized in-flight games.

Its spacious cabin layout with seven seats across in a 2-3-2 configuration gives travelers ample space to move, work and relax. Passengers can even keep up with pressing business matters by plugging in their laptop into an easily accessible in-seat power supply.

The Raffles Class is fitted with 64 of SIA’s world-renowned lie-flat SpaceBeds. The Italian-Swiss designed SpaceBeds offer a larger seat pitch at 64 inches and unique cushioning that conforms to individual body shape.

The Raffles Class cabin also features a 2-2-2 seating configuration wherein all SpaceBeds are forward-facing and fitted with adjustable screen dividers, giving passengers the privilege of privacy and personal space. For added convenience, every SpaceBed has it own 110-volt AC laptop power supply and DVD port that allows the executive to work in the air just as he does on the ground. The seating area even comes with extra storage for shoes and other personal belongings and the convenience of a mirror and coat hook.

Each seat from both Raffles and Executive Economy class is equipped with the KrisFone, SIA’s in-flight telephone giving users worldwide communication access through a satellite network. Passengers could also stretch their legs and walk over to A345 LeaderShip’s passenger areas.
