In winning the bronze, the two beat their Indon rivals, who took the silver in the last Asian Games held Busan, South Korea four years ago.

Beach volleyball head coach Rustico "Otie" Camangian said the two are determined to make an impact in the Asian level and are also willing to help local athletes train with them in the US.

Ilustre and Pascua are hoping to get back at Thai rivals when they compete in the Thailand Open.

"They wanted to know how tough beach volley is played in Thailand, thatís why they want to join the Thailand Open," Camangian said.
