MANILA, NOVEMBER 12, 2012 (ABS-CBN) Futureworld, the newest authorized Apple Inc. reseller in the country, is hoping to bring the iPad and the Macbook to the masses with the opening of its first two stores located in suburban malls.

On Saturday afternoon, Futureworld opened only its second store at the Cyberzone level of SM Masinag in Antipolo City, after it debuted at the SM City Bicutan in Paranaque City.

According to Gerald Senolos, country manager of Futureworld One Philippines, Inc., its long-term plan is to expand in locations with demands and needs not yet offered and catered to by other local Apple resellers. Its next branches will be located at SM San Lazaro and SM Sta. Mesa, Manila

"We are targeting unique areas that haven’t been tapped yet by the Apple resellers in the country. So that’s what makes us unique because we’re bringing Apple to the masses,” Senolos said at his speech at Saturday’s store opening.

Futureworld stores carry the complete line-up of Apple hardware and software, while also having exclusive distribution rights to accessories such as earphone organizer Onanoff, iOs compatible weighing scale and blood pressure monitor Withings, Incipio cases, cycling power meters like iBike, and a complete line of organization accessories from Cocoon.

We’re trying to make available what is not already available in Manila. In the coming months, we’ll be coming up with more products that are normally found in Apple stores in Hong Kong, in China and in the U.S. So they’ll soon be seen in future Futureworld stores alone,” Senolos said.

Aside from the products, Senolos also noted that the store staff are Apple-certified and Apple-trained, so “those who are fairly new to the Apple platform can surely expect thorough assistance and support from our team.”

Special guests at Saturday’s opening are model Kelly Misa and Philippine Azkals member Anton del Rosario.

“I like how everything is organized. Parang everything is so user-friendly na you can actually touch the products, play with it. That really makes a big difference, I think,” Misa said.

Del Rosario added: “I love the layout, it’s very spacious. You have a lot of room to test the equipment. Like Kelly said, you’re allowed to play with it and experience it for yourself. I was going around and testing the headphones and was surprised by the quality from them.”
