HAPPY 1st, GEORGE & AMAL! HERE'S HOW THE CLOONEYS SPENT THEIR FIRST YEAR OF MARRIAGE

SEPTEMBER 25 -Time flies when you’re having fun and, from the looks of things, the last year of George and Amal Clooney’s lives must have gone by in a wink. As they celebrate their first wedding anniversary this weekend, here’s a look back at how they spent their first year as husband and wife.
September 2014 George and Amal Clooney (née Alamuddin) were married on Sept. 27 in Venice, Italy. It was a beautiful and star-studded affair. But it was back to work to both shortly after. October 2014 In October, Amal traveled to Greece to advise the prime minister on how to recover the Elgin Marbles, a group of ancient Greek statues which were taken from the Acropolis 200 years ago and are currently on display at the British Museum in London. George apologized for Batman & Robin. November 2014 Then, Amal shifted her focus to Egypt, where she was defending Mohamed Fahmy, one of three Al Jazeera journalists jailed for alleged terrorist activities. She also took Canadian governmental officials to task for their silence on Fahmy, who is a Canadian citizen. Her husband, George, denied rumors that the couple was looking to adopt a baby so that he could be a stay-at-home dad. December 2014 At the end of the year, Amal Clooney was named the most fascinating person of the year by Barbara Walters. Meanwhile, George filmed an appearance on Downton Abbey. January 2015 In addition to arguing for Fahmy’s release in Egypt, Amal took on a new case in January: this one relating to the Armenian Genocide. Clooney is defending Armenia in front of the European Court of Human Rights, where they are appealing a 2013 ruling by the court which found a Swiss law prohibiting Turkish government officials from denying the genocide. That same month, Amal accompanied her husband to some lame work party called the Golden Globes. READ MORE...

September 2015

While Amal spent the beginning of the month in the Maldives, George did his best Diane Lane in The Perfect Storm saying that, yes, he did worry about Amal when her job put her in harm’s way: “It’s tough when they’re stabbing her co-counselor [defense lawyer Mahfooz Saeed] in the head a couple days before she gets there. It’s a little nerve wracking. But she’s doing the right thing and she’s doing it for the right reasons.”

Happy anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Clooney.

Mercy & Compassion
(DUET)

Fr. Caga:
Created in Your Image
Perfected in beauty
Crowning Glory of Creation I Am
And yet fallen into sin from the distant past
And saved when His cross came to pass
With Your Son

Mercy and Compassion Shown
With His Death
Mercy and Compassion flowed
May my heart express His Mercy
May my life radiate Compassion
Jesus showed us what true love can be

(Cardinal Tagle)
I have known you from eternity
Have loved you true and perfectly
Your name is in the palm of My Hand,
and yet you have turned away
Insisted on your own

Still Mercy and Compassion I give you
With My Son
Mercy and Compassion Shown
With His Death
Mercy and Compassion flowed

May your heart express His Mercy
May your life radiate Compassion
My Only Son showed
what true Love can be

Bridge:

(Fr. Caga)
Allow me be a reflection
Gracious Mercy and Compassion

(Cardinal Tagle)
Be a servant of My people
For the least is the greatest in My Kingdom

Refrain (duet)
With My/Your Son,
Mercy and Compassion shown
With His death,
Mercy and Compassion flowed

Cardinal Tagle: May your heart express His Mercy

Fr. Caga: May my life radiate Compassion

Duet: Jesus showed what true love can be

Pope Francis (in a standee at the St. Joseph Adoration Chapel in Quezon City) has a magnetic effect on kids, one of them Don Sevilla, two-and-a-half years old.

Over a recent lunch, Pioneer producer Wilson Yuloque learned from his friend Rudy Tee, Curve big boss, that his company has a beautiful song sung by Fr. Raul and Cardinal Tagle.

Wilson liked the song so much that he felt it should be heard by as many people as possible, so he decided to add the song’s music video as “bonus” to moviegoers.

The film on the life of the current Supreme Pontiff and Successor of St. Peter told from the point of view of a young Spanish journalist named Ana is based on a book Pope Francis: Life and Revolution by world-renowned journalist and Vatican correspondent Elisabetta Pique.

The film stars Dario Grandinetti, who won an International Emmy Award for Best Actor in 2012, as Pope Francis, and Silvia Abascal, Malaga Spanish Film Festival 2006 Best Actress, as Ana. It is directed by award-winning director-writer Beda Docampo Feijoo.

IN THE MOVIE: Dario Grandinetti as the Argentinian Cardinal who would become the current Pope in 'Papa Francisco: The Pope Francis Story'.

After his historic visit to Sri Lanka and the Philippines last January, Pope Francis went to other countries, the latest being Cuba and the US. The faithful love Pope Francis for his down-to-earth style and infectious warmth, and soft spot, especially for the poor and children.

According to the production notes, Pique’s book has been hailed in Argentina as the most complete and up-to-date portrait of the Pope. The movie chronicles the life of Pope Francis from when he was in Buenos Aires when as a teenager he quietly discovered his religious calling, not knowing that he was taking the first step that would lead him to the Vatican.

“This is an opportunity for us to know him, his struggles, his triumphs, his joys,” said Eugenio “Toto” Villareal, head of MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board), endorsing the movie.

During a special screening held at the SM Megamall Cinema 3 last Sept. 17, Villareal urged everyone to intensify their affection for the Pope. “I have been taught that we should love the Pope with that real love of a son or daughter for a father. Use this occasion to formulate a resolution or two in regard to our love for the Pope,” he said.

Lea replies to social media users who reacted to one of her tweets and assumed she was talking about popular love team AlDub

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Lea Salonga drew strong reactions from social media users after she posted a tweet about "kababawan" (shallowness).

Lea shared this message on Saturday, September 26.

Lea SalongaVerified account ‏@MsLeaSalonga Okay lang sa akin ang kababawan, pero     hanggang doon na lamang ba tayo? #NagtatanongLangPo

While she did not pertain to anything in particular, used no AlDub hashtag and didn't mention anything by name in that exact tweet, many started speculating that she was pointing to the growing popularity of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub or AlDub.

At the time, AlDub's most recent episode, featuring a visit from Alden to Lola Nidora's mansion to court Yaya, was the most talked about topic on Twitter. The topic has generated over 25 million tweets.

Lea said she was speaking in more general terms, and in other tweets said that she's not specifically targeting a certain episode particular aspect of AlDub. Here's her response to a fan who asked her, "What is this all about po? I'm just curious, it's much better to ask you."

Lea tweeted a few more times, explaining her tweet. She said she was not hitting or targeting the AlDub tandem at all.

She also clarified she has nothing against the tandem of Alden and Yaya Dub and even said she finds Maine Mendoza, the actress who plays Yaya, gorgeous.

Lea also said that she was not aware of the episode and what was going on. Lea is currently busy with preparations for the play Allegiance abroad.

The AlDub tandem was born out of Eat Bulaga's "Juan For All, All For Juan" segment, where the characters Alden and Yaya Dub are in love, but kept apart by Yaya's boss, Lola Nidora.

On September 26, Alden was finally able to visit Yaya Dub at Lola Nidora's mansion to formally court her.

To support to the episode and the kalyeserye, Eat Bulaga also declared Saturday as National Pabebe Wave Day. The hashtag#AlDubEBForLove has generated over 25 million tweets. – Rappler.com
