Would she ever get over it? Would she ever allow herself to fall in love again? Then when architect Conrad Onglao came into her life, people were flooded with an instant sense of relief, and Zsa Zsa was just as happy. "They say time heals all wounds... But for the deeper and more painful wounds, I know only God in all his mighty power can heal my heart and Claudine's," she said on Monday.

"I realized last night, that God is greater and bigger than all the pride and [unforgivingness] we both had for each other. Happy, happy Birthday, Claudine! May this year be all about doors of opportunities opening up for you, lots of work, love and laughter," Marjorie added.

Wedding bells for Zsa Zsa Padilla by Yaggy Uson July 22, 2015

ZSA ZSA PADILLA

Zsa Zsa Padilla is set to walk down the aisle next year.

The singer-actress’ boyfriend, architect Conrad Onglao, has revealed his wedding plans on “Kris TV” recently.

“I want to get married in Florence. I’m taking her to Italy after her ‘ASAP’ show in London,” Onglao told host Kris Aquino.

She assured fans that she will continue working even after marriage.

“Pinag-usapan din talaga namin from the onset na I cannot stop working because I have children to take care of. Kailangan pa nila ng tulong ko kasi,” Padilla maintained.

Truth be told, Onglao likes it that Padilla wants to continue working.

He said, “I want her to be happy. If singing is what makes her happy, or acting, I said, ‘I’m just there to applaud you.’ I’m not going to take it away from her. Before I met her, she was already a very accomplished singer and actress. Why would I take that away from her?”

Prior, Onglao was married to interior designer Ivy Almario. They were divorced in the US and obtained a legal separation, and church annulment here in the Philippines. They have two sons.

Padilla, on the other hand, was the long-time partner of the late Comedy King Dolphy.

Taking things one day at a time, and moving on DIRECT LINE By Boy Abunda (The Philippine Star) | Updated July 23, 2015 - 12:00am 0 0 googleplus0 0

Zsa Zsa Padilla on relationship with architect Conrad Onglao: ‘I think we’ll get married, I think we’ll be ready for that soon, but I can’t say exactly when.’

She had to get back to a happy place and find inspiration first before she could even think about working again, especially doing soap operas, which can be very draining on the emotions. There were months, Zsa Zsa recalls, when she was just immobilized by sorrow. “I realized that’s how it feels to lose a loved one, even if in your head, you know the reality that, that person is gone, there is a part of you that will always wait for him to come back,“ says Zsa Zsa. ‘’Ganun ka ng ganun, na parang hinihintay mo na biglang lalabas siya at sasabihin niya, ‘Uy, nandito na ako. Nagbakasyon lang ako...’ Ganyan. So that time, it was really difficult in the sense that I was like, still waiting for him (Dolphy) to return.”

But now, things are very different. Zsa Zsa has thankfully been able to move on, if slowly. One thing is for sure, however, and it’s that the state of her heart is definitely much better than it was two years ago.

“It’s good,” says Zsa Zsa. “I’m happy and contented.”

At the same time, she has learned to accept that in every life, there will always be challenges and that her struggle may not necessarily be over yet.

Despite that, she has regained some of her emotional balance and slowly returned to work; recently, she released a new album under the PolyEast Records label, aptly titled Beginnings.

The album — which coincides with this new beginning in Zsa Zsa’s personal life and career — is made up of selections of mostly love songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s.

The selections in the album were picked by both Zsa Zsa and Conrad together. “Actually, when we we’re in the car or whenever we’re together, and the radio is on, napapansin ko talagang nagre-react siya kapag ‘70s yung mga kanta, so that’s where we drew part of the inspiration from for this album,” says Zsa Zsa.

All the songs in the album are special to her, but there are some that are more special than others, like the Carpenters hit Rainy Days and Mondays.

According to Zsa Zsa, she always tries to make sure that whenever she releases a CD or does a concert, there is at least one Carpenters song in the line-up or repertoire. “I always try to make sure na meron akong remembrance sa kanila, because they were my first idols even before Barbra Streisand. They’ve been my favorite for the longest time, the Carpenters.

Maganda, actually, yung kantang ‘yan, inareglo ko, from before pa, kinakanta ko na siya. They’ve really made their own name because they really sound different, truly classic.”

But the album isn’t the only surprise Zsa Zsa has up her sleeve. Very soon, she will also be doing a concert also titled Beginnings and featuring her daughter Karylle and Martin Nievera as special guests.

By August, she will also begin taping for a new teleserye, something she is also very excited about. The first two weeks of the serye will be taped in New York, so the travel is like a bonus for her.

Right now, Zsa Zsa is just taking things one day at a time. Marriage? No, not yet. “Hindi pa naman,” she says. “I think we’ll get married, I think we’ll be ready for that soon, but I can’t say exactly when.”

All she knows is that she has embarked on this new beginning, and for now, that’s all that matters.

But before doing any acting jobs, the "It's Showtime" host would like to focus first in the rerun of her concert "Next Attraction" together with Paolo Valenciano, Robin Nievera and Isabella Ledesma.

"We're just happy we got a lot of good feedback," she said about the concert's first run last July 4 at the Music Museum. "We are working on some things that needs improving and will gonna work on things that build up the show also."

The "Next Attraction The Rerun" will hapen on August 14 and 15, 8 p.m. at the Music Museum.
