Natural for political scions to enter politics, Bongbong Marcos’ son says By AMITA O. LEGASPI, GMA News June 22, 2015 10:08pm

SANDRO MARCOS WITH REPORTERS

Although he has yet to decide if he will enter politics, the eldest son of Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr said Monday there should be no limit as to whatever profession a person would want to take.

Asked on his position on the anti-political dynasty bill, Ferdinand Alexander Marcos or Sandro, 21, said that each person should be given an opportunity to enter politics if he or she wants.

“It is something that exists everywhere and I feel that people, first of all, have the option to go into politics and I feel that it is a natural progression when you have family members in politics, you are exposed to politics, so as a natural precursor to that, you end up in politics,” the younger Marcos told reporters.

He represented his father in a forum on the Bangsamoro Basic Law held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

The younger Marcos said a number of family members running in politics is not unique in the Philippines as it is also happening in other countries.

“If you look at the Bush family in the US, two (of them) are congressmen and two becane president and you cannot limit things such as that to a country such as the Philippines,” he said.

He is not discounting the possibility that he would enter politics in the future.

“My father was exposed to politics since he was that tall. Since my dad was governor, I’ve always come with him, in all his speeches. I definitely personally feel that has, sort of, a deciding factor as to what one does in the future as a profession,” he said.

“If my father were a news journalist, and I went with him on the job, I would probably become a news journalist. I just feel that it is something that is natural rather than made,” the younger Marcos added.

Asked if his father is grooming him to be a politician, Sandro replied in the negative.

“No, he's not. My dad has always been very vocal and supportive towards whatever I want to do in the future and he has always said that, no matter what profession I pursue,” he said.

Sandro is an incoming junior at City University in London and is majoring in International Politics. His brother Simon is an incoming economics sophomore in Oxford Brookes. -NB, GMA News

Maria Ozawa on Robin, leaving porn career ABS-CBNnews.com Posted at 06/23/2015 6:20 PM | Updated as of 06/23/2015 6:42 PM

MANILA - "In my dreams!"

This was the playful answer of former AV (adult video) star Maria Ozawa when asked if she would want to do a film with Robin Padilla in the vein of her past projects; that is, before she transitioned to mainstream showbiz.

Unfortunately for her long-time followers, Ozawa has moved on from the porn industry and is committing to "doing everything from the bottom," whichever new career she will pursue.

Asked if she will be doing sexy scenes with Padilla, Ozawa answered, "Am I? We have to watch the movie!"

She offered, however, that "Nilalang" will also have romance elements and "that's what, I guess, I'm looking forward to."

The Haunted Tower production follows a local forensic expert (Padilla) who teams up with Ozawa's character, "a beautiful heir to a transnational organized crime syndicate originating from Japan," according to a press release.

Ozawa, who was launched as an AV star in 2005, has been to other Asian countries for film work outside of porn, notably in Taiwan and Indonesia. But the Philippines, she said, has become one of her favorite places to visit.

Explaining why she chose to star in a Philippine film, "It's really simple. I really like the place here. I was just like, I want to work here!"

She noted that during her last visit in April, she did a radio guesting and posed for a number of local publications. "And I was like, 'I just love it here, it's like way better than Japan.' I said, 'I'm coming back, definitely.' And then I came back, so it's like a really dream come true!"

"I love it here! Everything's great, the food, the weather, the people."
