A brawl erupted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 over cell phone photos of an actress berating a ground stewardess of a budget airline. Actor Raymart Santiago and at least six other men ganged up on Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist and radio host Ramon Tulfo on Sunday for taking photos of the former’s wife, actress Claudine Barretto, according to Tulfo’s account. Tulfo said he arrived at Naia 3 from Davao City on a Cebu Pacific flight when he noticed a woman giving the stewardess a dressing down. “The ground stewardess was on the verge of tears,” Tulfo told the Inquirer over the phone, recalling what caught his attention before the beating he received. He said he initially sympathized with the woman after learning from onlookers that she had been complaining of “an off-loaded luggage,” which had been a subject of critical columns he wrote before. He did not recognize the woman as Barretto until he walked toward the airline’s complaints desk. READ ON...

Latest News: Claudine's camp denies Raymart offered support

MAY 25 --The camp of Claudine Barretto denied that the actress’ estranged husband, actor Raymart Santiago, attempted to send financial support for his children since August last year. Last week, Santiago’s counsel, Atty. Ruth Castelo, said on “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” that the actor tried to offer financial support for his children Sabina and Santino but his offers were rejected. In a statement given by Barretto’s lawyer, as published on showbiz website Philippine Entertainment Portal, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said Santiago made no offers at any time. “The statement of the camp of Mr. Raymart Santiago that they offered support but it was rejected, is pure unadulterated BS. Claudine Barretto makes peace with Tulfo brother

MANILA, JUNE 2, 2014 (INQUIRER) By Marc Jayson Cayabyab - Actress Claudine Barretto has made peace with columnist Raffy Tulfo, two years after his brother, Ramon “Mon”, she and estranged husband, Raymart Santiago figured in a brawl at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Barretto posted a photo on Instagram where she was clutching the arm of a smiling Tulfo. Barretto’s lawyer Ferdinand Topacio is also seen in the photo.

“Peace,” Barretto wrote.

“Had a nice afternoon with you po, sir Raffy Tulfo. Godbless po,” she added.

Barretto and Santiago filed grave threat charges against the Tulfo brothers Raffy, Ben and Erwin after they berated Barretto on their television show in 2012.

The Tulfos were defending their eldest brother after a viral video titled “Thrilla in NAIA” showed Barretto and Santiago beating up the elder Tulfo at the NAIA May 2012.

The brawl stemmed from an altercation between Barretto and Tulfo who was caught taking picture with his cellphone of the actress scolding an airport staff.

The charges were junked in November 2013 as the complainants failed to show up in court.

The couple separated in 2013 following allegations of domestic abuse by Santiago against Barretto.

The actress has been embroiled in a family drama with sisters Gretchen and Marjorie, who both supported Santiago on their youngest sister’s charges of domestic violence.

They also alleged that Claudine was mentally ill and has a history of drug abuse, which prompted their mother Inday Barretto to post an open letter to Gretchen in which she called her daughter a “liar”.

Mon Tulfo

Not known for holding back his opinions, Ramon ‘Mon’ Tulfo spoke exclusively to “The Buzz,” Sunday, about Claudine Barretto’s controversial Instagram photo with his younger brother.

“Natawa ako kasi kilalang-kilala ko si Raffy. ’Yung tawa niya, ‘yung ngiti niya (sa litrato), parang nakakaloko,” Mon said with amusement. “Eh sinakyan-sakyan lang niya si Claudine,” he added.

The photo, posted Thursday, showed Claudine with her lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Raffy Tulfo and an unidentified woman. Its caption read: “Peace. Had a nice afternoon with you po, Sir Raffy Tulfo. God bless po.”

Through a phone interview with the show, Claudine clarified they were in the same area for lunch but they had separate meetings.

“…Hindi naman importate kung sino ang unang nagsabi… Ang most important is napaka-mabuting tao pala niya,” Claudine explained their supposed reconciliation rather vaguely.

For his part, Raffy noted, “Si Atty. Ferdie Topacio ay best friend ko. Sinabihan niya ako na if its okay na isasama niya si Claudine sa isang meeting namin. ‘Maganda siguro kung magka bati-bati kayo.’ Sabi ko, ‘Oo siguro.’” He also added, “Ayun, nagkapatawaran. Okay ’yun.”

The relationship between Claudine and the Tulfo brothers has been strained, to say the least.

In May 2012, she and her now-estranged husband Raymart Santiago had an altercation with the eldest Tulfo at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Shortly after, Raffy, along with Mon’s other younger brothers Erwin and Ben, allegedly threatened Raymart and a male companion on their now defunct “T3” for supposedly beating up their brother.

The couple filed cases against the three brothers, and even petitioned for a writ of amparo, a form of protection order, against them – which was dismissed; their motion for reconsideration was likewise denied.

Mon’s complaints against the couple, meanwhile, were dismissed for lack of probable cause.

In the same “Buzz” exclusive, Mon said, “Matagal ko na siyang (Claudine) pinatawad. Dapat unawain mo na ang babae…”

Claudine also reiterated, “Actually nakapag-usap na kami ni kuya Mon noong una pa lang… Humingi (siya) ng pasensya at ako rin ganon sa kanya.”

As for his cases against the former couple, Mon noted, “Wala na, hindi na nga ako nag-a-attend ng mga hearing. Pinatawad ko na nga silang lahat.”

In parting, though, he said, “I would appreciate it kung si Raymart at ‘yung si (Eduardo) Atillano (the co-accused) ay humingi ng patawad sa akin bilang mga lalaki.”

Claudine has her own marital and legal woes to deal with these days, with her filing several charges against her estranged husband in court. (Report by ASA)

Report on what happened on May 2012 at the NAIA AIRPORT

Raymart Santiago, pals gang up on Mon Tulfo at Naia 3 By Bayani San Diego Jr., Jerry E. Esplanada, Miko Morelos Philippine Daily Inquirer May 7, 2012 | 12:17 am

A YouTube videograb shows Inquirer columnist Ramon Tulfo being held in a headlock during a scuffle at the NAIA Terminal 3 after he took photos of actress Claudine Barretto.

Mobile phone

Tulfo pulled out his mobile phone and took photos of the scene, which he said would form part of a column he intended to write, when a man from the actress’ group approached him.

The man, whom he later recognized as Barretto’s husband, “demanded to get my phone which I used in taking shots.” Tulfo said he refused to surrender his phone.

Santiago continued to force Tulfo to give up his phone when several men joined the actor, according to the columnist.

Tulfo said he could not recall who threw the first punch because he was being ganged up.

Hit on blind side

Tulfo, a martial arts expert, said he was hit on his blind side as the punches kept coming.

The brawl took place shortly past noon at the baggage claim area.

While trying to fight his way out, Tulfo said Barretto, who was nearby, repeatedly cursed at him. He said he might have hit the actress with a kick as he tried to fight back.

“This is the real persona of an actress who is always portrayed [in the movies] as a martyr,” he said.

He said he pitied the ground staff of Cebu Pacific whom Barretto berated.

Both Barretto and Santiago denied Tulfo’s accusations in separate interviews.

Barretto said on radio that it was Tulfo who started the commotion.

The actress said it was the radio host and columnist who threw the first punch.

In an interview with Inquirer Entertainment and posted on INQUIRER.net after the incident, Santiago said that when he approached Tulfo to ask him about his cellphone video, the columnist suddenly punched and kicked him and his wife.

“Why would I hit an older man in front of my children? I wasn’t brought up by my parents that way,” he explained.
He added that his children were traumatized by the incident.

CCTV footage

The actress said she and her husband were asking for the CCTV footage from airport authorities to prove their innocence.

Baggage missing

Santiago said the complaints stemmed from the airline’s decision not to load some of their luggage on the same flight they took from Boracay to Manila.

“Our group consisted of three families,” he said. “Two of the families’ baggage went missing. The airline should’ve informed us of their decision to load our things on a different plane. Some of the children’s things and medicines were in the missing bags.”

Tulfo said Barretto continued “cussing” at him when they met for the second time at the airport police station. “I could only give her a smile as she fumed at me.”

At the same time, Tulfo denounced the Naia security personnel and the airport police for failing to restrain Barretto’s party as they were restoring order in the area.

Choked

He said he had submitted to the authorities when they arrived and as they were sorting things out, “somebody lunged behind me and grabbed me by the neck.”

The choking lasted a couple of seconds, and Tulfo said he could have passed out if it happened a few moments longer.

No arrests were made by the Manila International Airport Authority’s police intelligence and investigation department (PIID).

Lieutenant Demterio Sison, PIID officer in charge, said his men “have yet to determine the suspects in this incident. That is why, no arrests were made by Naia 3 policemen.

Complainants

“Right now, we have two sets of complainants. Mr. Tulfo on one side and Claudine Barretto and husband Raymart Santiago on the other side. We are still investigating the case,” he told the Inquirer.

Sison, who noted contusions on Mr. Tulfo’s face, said the airport police were still trying to find out who started the fight.

Tulfo reportedly chanced upon Santiago and Barretto, who were among the passengers of Cebu Pacific Flight No. 5J 896 from Boracay.

Claudine Barretto’s Revelations MAY 13, 2014 BY DOMESTICATED 1 COMMENT

BARRETTO

Clauding-Barretto-Revelation

I was with my friends, we were eating. Kilala ko, pediatrician ‘to ni Gretchen. Pumunta ako sa gate, nakita ko nandoon si Marjorie (Barretto), nandoon si Gretchen. Sabi ni Gretchen, ‘Can I please go in?’ Since kapatid ko naman siya, kahit hindi kami okay, pinapasok ko. I didn’t know what this was all about. Pagpasok nila, later dumating na ‘yung pediatrician with the ambulance and I think there were eight men inside,” she said.

“I asked my sister, ‘What is this? What are you gonna get me for?’ She just looked at her doctor and she said, ‘Do something.’ I knew my rights, she was trespassing. Sabi ko sa kanila, ‘Saan, sa drug addiction or sa mental illness?’ Kasi hindi ko alam. And then sabi niya ‘Basta doc, nag-overdose iyan,’” Claudine continued.

However, Marjorie clarified this 2010 incident in a statement she sent to “Buzz ng Bayan.”

“Claudine, for your information, mom and dad begged us to rush to your house because your personal assistant told them you’ve finished all your anti-anxiety medicines. We had with us a doctor and an ambulance from a very reputable hospital because we didn’t want you to die, Claudine. We were saving your life,” she said.

Majorie also asked their parents not to deny that they instructed her and Gretchen to rush to Claudine’s house that night.

“Dad and mom, please don’t deny the fact that the orders to rush to a hospital came from both of you. We did not have a straitjacket. That is a lie. Claudine, we were protecting you. We did not want you to die most especially in front of your children,” she said.

… … …

Kung for mental illness or overdose ang dahilan kung bakit nagpadala si Gretchen at Marjorie ng ambulance sa bahay ni Claudine… bakit PEDIATRICIAN ang kasama?

Clauding-Barretto-Revelation-2

Claudine, however, said their misunderstanding turned worse in April and August last year when Gretchen and Marjorie took to social media to destroy her.

“They drew first blood and they were accusing me of so many things. I just kept quiet the whole time. They were just bullying and bullying. They did not stop. Ganito ba dapat ang ugali ng mga ate? Let’s say, for example, if I’m mentally ill, lalong nakakasira ng ulo ‘yung ginagawa nila. Nakadapa na, tatapakan mo pa, duduraan ka pa. Gretchen knows this. She’s heartless,” she said.

Claudine also dared Gretchen to admit that she called her names and even talked bad about her kids.

“The day that she started talking bad about my kids on the phone, on speaker and Raymart was there. Raymart, bahala na siya sa Diyos niya. He was there when Gretchen started calling them names. When she said na, ‘Wala ka ng career, baboy ka, lechon, wala ka ng power. You will never be back in this industry. Magpakamatay ka na lang, Claudine.’ You know, Gretchen, you swear on your child’s life if you did not say that. I dare you, because you are such a liar,” she said.

Saying she no longer wants to be affiliated with Gretchen in any way, Claudine said, “Pakiusap ko kay Gretchen, any question about me, stop answering. I don’t want to be affiliated with you because you are a shame to this family. I want you to stay away from me and my children. I want to know, at the end of the day Gretchen, ano ba ang goal mo? Up to where? When are you going to stop?”

#TinamaanAko

Ang sagot naman ni Claudine… PURO BOTOX KA, GRETCHEN!

Contrary to Gretchen’s claim that she is happy, Claudine said, “You say you’re happy? I don’t see that. With your face all botoxed and all, I don’t see that.”

I said some painful things to my sister which I will forever regret. I always made life easy for my sister, for Marjorie. But she killed me the day na tinanggal niya ‘yung karapatan ko to see my nieces na pinalaki ko. Nakalimutan niya ako, ‘yung ako talaga,” she told “Buzz ng Bayan” host Boy Abunda.

“I grieved for her. Pinatay ko na siya sa buhay ko. I would never ever do anything to hurt my nieces,” Claudine added.

CLAUDINE AND RAYMART

“Pinasok niya [Raymart] February 24, 2006, a month before the Tagaytay wedding, when I couldn’t say no anymore. I couldn’t back out.

“From 2004, ikinasal kami sa Isabela… May 2, 2004 sa Isabela, akala ko… then nag-live in na kami, akala ko kasal kami the whole time.

“Actually, the other night lang, tatlong gun shots, and then another four gun shots.

“While I was at my balcony, I don’t know if it was the second… hindi, pangatlong attempt sa akin.

“That’s why lumalabas na rin ako para sabihin na hindi ako natatakot sa inyo, and I’m back.”

Dagdag naman ng legal counsel ni Claudine na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, “Documented ito, nandun yung may isang tao biglang pumasok na lang sa bahay niya nang walang pahintulot.

“Nakuha naman namin yung identity. Ito’y naka-police blotter and then yung mga nagpapaputok ng baril dun sa likod.”

SOURCE: http://www.pep.ph

MANILA – The camp of Claudine Barretto denied that the actress’ estranged husband, actor Raymart Santiago, attempted to send financial support for his children since August last year.

There were no such offers at any time,” he said.

Barretto is currently embroiled in a legal battle against Santiago.

In Barretto's violence against women and children case against Santiago filed in August, the actress accused her husband of "physical, sexual, psychological and economic" abuse. These acts, Barretto said, date back to 2002.
