MANILA, MAY 6, 2013 (ABS-CBN) Host Boy Abunda shared his thoughts on reports that his good friend, host-actress Kris Aquino, is planning to join politics and is considering running for a public post in the 2016 elections.

“It's inevitable kasi nasa dugo naman talaga nila Kris, public service is part of their life. Naalala ko nung buhay pa si Tita Cory, sabi niya you have to start local. Pinaghahandaan iyan eh. That was the message of the former president,” Abunda said on “The Buzz” on Sunday, where he also discussed his own political plans.

Abunda said he and Aquino were able to talk about politics when his former "The Buzz" co-host returned to the country from a vacation in Europe.

“Sabi ko, 'Krissy you are in the papers dahil may nagbalita na dapat iklaro ng iyong partido kung talagang may intention ka tumakbo bilang vice president.' Sabi ni Kris, ‘Whatever position it is, I think I am qualified because I pay my taxes," Abunda said.

Just recently, Aquino revealed that she wants to be elected as an official of "a big city" in Metro Manila.

Kris mum on whether she'll vote for UNA's Nancy Binay

GENERAL SANTOS CITY - President Aquino's youngest sister, celebrity host Kris Aquino, went to General Santos City on Thursday to campaign for Team PNoy bets reelectionist Senator Chiz Escudero and former Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) head Grace Poe.

Together with reelectionist GenSan Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio, the group held a motorcade around the city before heading off for a series of interviews with local radio stations.

In an interview with journalists, both Escudero and Poe thanked Aquino for her endorsement.

They both agreed that Ms. Aquino's support will help them in this last stretch before the campaign period ends on May 11.

Ms. Aquino said that she promised Escudero during his birthday last year that she would accompany him during the campaign, especially right before the elections.

Ms. Aquino quipped that when she made the promise to Escudero that she'll give a day to him, she didn't expect that a day with Escudero in the campaign trail would mean having to start it at 3:30 in the morning and have it end at midnight.

When Ms. Aquino was asked by the media if she was only endorsing Escudero and Poe, Ms. Aquino said she is also endorsing reelectionist Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, her cousin Bam Aquino, and Congressman Sonny Angara.

"Yesterday, I went with Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano; Sunday [with] Sonny Angara; Wednesday, my cousin Bam Aquino. Kung meron mang iba, huwag ko na lang banggitin," she said.

Ms. Aquino also said that some of the senatorial candidates have already contacted her also asking for her endorsement.

When asked if she was supporting a 12-0 Team PNoy slate, she said that she would rather not answer the question since she did not want to lie.

Ms. Aquino admitted that she campaigned for reelectionist Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay because he was a good friend.

"Very good friend ko si Mayor Junjun Binay. I campaigned for him and his vice-mayor kasi wala namang Team PNoy na tumakbo sa Makati," she said.

When asked if she was also a good friend of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial candidate Nancy Binay, Ms. Aquino said she is, and that Nancy's younger sister is one of her closest friends.

Ms. Aquino also preempted a follow-up question if she was also endorsing Nancy, one of 9 bets of UNA.

"You know I said I won't answer that na lang so I won't have to lie. Yes, her youngest sister is one of my closest friends.

"I know the follow-up question already. Out of respect for my brother, I won't answer that. And in the interest of my telling the truth, I also won't answer that."

Ms. Aquino went to Taguig on Wednesday and campaigned for Lani Cayetano, wife of Senator Cayetano.

Kris campaigned for the Cayetanos after she was being linked again to director Lino Cayetano.

After campaigning in GenSan, Aquino, Escudero and Poe headed to Davao City to hold several more campaign sorties in the area.
