[Veteran actress Sharon Cuneta

, APRIL 29, 2013
(ABS-CBN) An executive of TV5 shrugged off talks that veteran actress Sharon Cuneta has expressed her desire to return to her former home network ABS-CBN.

In an interview with entertainment website Philippine Entertainment Portal, the No. 3 network's first vice president for creative and entertainment production Perci Intalan said it would be unfair for the actress if they let the issue persist.

“Nakarating sa amin 'yung [balita]. To be fair, hindi naman sa ano, 'no, pero si Sharon Cuneta na siya. Parang ayaw ko naman maniwala na siya 'yung nagpaparamadam. Any network, you know, would want to work with Sharon. Kaya I think it’s unfair na hayaan naming kumalat 'yung tsismis na siya yung nagpaparamdam,” he said.

Asked where he thinks the news is coming from, Intalan was quoted by the website as saying: “You know, she’s been very vocal about, you know, very personable siyang tao, e. There are people that she’s still close to there. And she’s still in touch with them. Pero hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling yung tsismis na she’s asking them to go back.”

Meanwhile, the TV5 executive also explained why Cuneta’s talk show “Sharon, Kasamo Mo Kapatid” suddenly went off air last month.

It was rumored that Cuneta’s show did not do well in terms of ratings.

“Hindi, hindi naman [tungkol sa ratings]. Actually, nakailang seasons rin kami, ‘di ba… three? Three seasons kami. Kasi summer kami nagsimula eh. So, yeah, not bad,” he said.

Cuneta left ABS-CBN in November 2011 to move to the No. 3 network for a reported P1-billion contract for five years.

Manny 'knocked out' by Jinkee's new look Posted at 08/13/2009 1:50 PM | Updated as of 08/14/2009 1:22 PM

MANILA – Jinkee Pacquiao has taken on a new role as the endorser of a beauty clinic, a move that reportedly "knocked out" her husband Manny.

Jinkee said her role as the Belo Medical Clinic's new endorser came as a surprise to the star boxer because she initially kept the news to herself. Manny was later glued in when he started noticing Jinkee's new looks.

“Hindi ko ‘to pinaalam sa kaniya, desisyon ko talaga ito,” she told ABS-CBN News during a Belo endorsement launch. “Gandang-ganda siya (Manny) sa akin. Lagi na lang niya akong tinatanong kung saan ako pupunta."

Appearing cool and collected, Jinkee also answered questions regarding her husband's alleged extra-marital relations. She said she doesn't get as jealous about Manny's admirers as before, and even laughed off rumors that her husband gifted a woman with a car.

"Ha? Ako ang may bagong kotse. Hindi ko masisisi ang iba diyan na lumalapit kay Manny kasi pambihira talaga siya sa maraming bagay... I trust him," she said.

Meanwhile, Jinkee said she and her mother-in-law Dionisia Pacquiao are currently focusing on their respective showbiz careers. "Aling Dionisia", as Pacquiao's ma is lovingly called, has appeared in several commercials and TV shows.

“Nakakatuwa siya. At sa edad niya ha, nagkaroon siya ng bagong buhay! Wala akong masabi!” Jinkee exclaimed.

"Aling Dionisia" is set to appear in a movie starring Ai-Ai delas Alas and former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada. With reports from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News. Photo copyrighted by the Belo Medical Group.

How Jinkee Pacquiao became more beautiful Posted at 05/16/2011 2:47 PM | Updated as of 05/16/2011 7:22 PM

MANILA, Philippines - Jinkee Pacquiao has become a celebrity in her own right, with people constantly talking about her personal life, her appearance, and even her latest purchases.

Among those who have become a fan of the boxing icon's wife is American socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton, who watched the Pacquiao-Mosley fight last May 8.

"So lovely spending time with Manny and his gorgeous wife Jinkee. Such a beautiful couple!" Hilton said in her Twitter account.

Before the fame, however, Jinkee took her appearance for granted.

"Di ako masyadong nag-aayos sa sarili ko o nagme-make up. Lagi na lang nakakulong, iniisip lang 'yung problema," she said in a taped interview on ABS-CBN's "Salamat Dok" aired over the weekend.

After giving birth to her third child, Princess, Jinkee decided to undergo liposuction. She had unwanted fat removed on her arms and abdomen, only to get pregnant again with her youngest daughter, Queen Elizabeth.

This, however, did not cause her to lose hope. With patience, hard work and a little help from cosmetic surgeon Vicky Belo, Jinkee was able to change her beauty from simple to stunning.

"Mahalaga (sa akin ang itsura). Kasi nakikita ka ng lahat ng tao," she said.

Jinkee said she lost 20 pounds thanks to Smart Lipo, a laser-assisted liposuction procedure from Italy which melts unwanted fat before it is taken out of the body.

It provides a sharp contrast to traditional liposuction, which removes lumps of solid fat.

After Smart Lipo, Jinkee underwent Body Tite, a body remodelling procedure from the United States which assists liposuction and tightens the skin.

She also had "diet injections," which helped her lose another 17 pounds in 21 days.

"(Jinkee) had diet injections kasi kahit nag-lipo (siya) medyo overweight pa rin. She lost 17 pounds in 21 days. Natuto na rin siyang kumain ng tama," Belo said.

"With Jinkee the way she starts eating it's so different na. She always starts with a salad before mag-meat and everything para may laman na ang tiyan niya."

Jinkee's face shape changed from square to oval with Ulthera, a non-invasive procedure from the US which is considered a less painful alternative to Thermage.

It utilizes "high intensity focused ultrasound" to tighten the skin after a 45-minute session.

"Dati kasi more on square yung shape (ng mukha ni Jinkee). The ideal shape of the face is oval so everybody should try to go for that," she said.

"Square kasi is masculine. Kahit ako square noon ang face ko kaya expert na ako diyan."

Ulthera can last for 2 to 3 years, shorter than the surgical facelift which is good for 7 years. Belo said results can be seen as early as 3 months.

Jinkee's glowing skin, meanwhile, was caused by glutathione, a substance which slows down the production of melanin. Melanin is the protein that gives the skin its brown color.

Belo said she made Jinkee use glutathione soap and lotion regularly, and take in 500 milligrams of glutathione tablets daily.

"The (soap) granules remove dead skin, the lotion para mababad 'yung balat mo (sa whitening) all day and to protect from the sun...At least 500 mg of glutathione a day para after 3 months makita na ang glow. That's what Jinkee did," she said.

"So hindi lang siya maputi, may glow din siya."

Asked how her life has changed since the makeover, Jinkee said, "Siyempre si Manny nai-insecure na nang onti."

"Parang 'pag may nakikita ka na ibang babae na maganda dati, mga nakikilandi sa kanya minsan, sasabihin mo na lang na 'ay hindi sila threat sa akin.' Yes diba?"
