Para Sa 'Yo Ang Laban Na Ito (lit. This Fight Is For You) is a Filipino television inspirational talk show and self-help drama produced by GMA Network and presented by Manny Pacquiao and Jean Garcia. The show premiered February 3, 2013 on the network's Sunday late night block and February 10, 2013 worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV.
The show is dubbed as GMA Network's very first "self-help" drama.
It hosted by world boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and actress Jean Garcia, the show features real people with parallel life stories but have different endings.
The show presented every life story via a short film and starred by some of the network's talents. Also in each episode, Pacquiao will share his own personal challenges and how he survived them with a series of difficult choices.
Following the show's main objective, Pacquiao and Garcia serve as coaches, helping and encouraging people to keep the faith, discover and believe in themselves, look straight, stand up and fight life's challenges.
With the battle cry, "Ang pagbabago ay magmumula sa desisyon mo..." (Change begins in your decision...), the hosts will challenge their guests to fight life's battle.
Thus, they ask their guests this question: "Palaban ka ba?" (Are you a fighter?).
The pilot episode (February 3, 2013) featured the story of two mothers who were abandoned by their husbands and were left to raise their children alone.
It is a topic close to Pacquiao's heart because he grew up with the same situation.

In tomorrow’s episode of Manny Pacquiao’s talk show, the boxer-turned-life coach will deal with two widows who continue to struggle in life.
The two live lives differently. One is focused on moving forward, while the other is stuck in mourning for her lost husband. Remedios Guillermo can’t seem to accept the death of her husband, depressed since she buried him. Her son, Jefferson, who lives with her did not finish school and can’t find a job.
On the contrary, Norma Bolangos who lost her husband in a plane crash, moved on and succeeded. She also lives with her son who is now a junior in high school. Although she fell into the tricks of some scam and lost all her savings, she started again and now is back on her toes.
Will Norma inspire Remedios, or will it take MannyPacquiao to open the eyes and mind of Norma?
Let’s watch Para Sa Iyo ang Laban na Ito on GMA 7.

Manny Pacquio hosts self-help drama “Para Sa ‘Yo Ang Laban Na Ito” with Jean Garcia
With the title inspired by the song popularized by the boxer himself, the show is aimed at encouraging people to make decisions that could change their lives forever.
Every episode, there will be two guests who will tell their inspiring stories. There will be drama sequences of their stories which will be played by popular Kapuso stars.
For the first episode, two single moms will be guesting in the show. They were both abandoned by their respective husbands and were left to raise their kids on their own.
It wasn’t so different from the story of Manny’s own mother, Mommy Dionisia, who was left by her husband when Manny and his siblings were still young. And as Manny said in the episode’s teaser, he is so proud of his mom because she never thought of giving them away even when they had almost nothing to eat back then.
Joining Manny in the show is actress Jean Garcia who also had personal battles of her own in the past. We have yet to see how their hosting tandem works but the show will surely be interesting enough given that it highlights inspiring stories of ordinary people.
Reminds me of Sharon Cuneta’s defunct TV5 show minus the dramatization, though.
Watch the pilot episode of Para Sa ‘Yo Ang Laban Na Ito on Sunday, February 3, at 10:00pm, only on GMA-7.
