A 'HEART' FOR POLITICIANS? / RICHARD GUTIERREZ - KISS & TELL
MANIL, JUNE 12, 2012 (MANILA TIMES) After her break up with Brazilian model Daniel Matsunaga, it seems actress Heart Evangelista has found refuge in politics—or politicians rather—to help heal her wounded heart.

Although she was first linked to Legacy co-star star Sid Lucero, Heart said they were just really good friends. “It’s just so funny when you’re doing a soap with this person, right away, you’re romantically [linked],” she began opening up to reporters at SM Supermarket and Unilever’s “Save the Earth, Share Happy” event at the SM Megamall.
Heart was part of an environmental-themed fashion show together with Miss Earth Philippines 2012 candidates that featured the gowns of Don Cristobal. Together, the graced the runway carrying the Red Chiller Bag and Green Bag as their must-have shopping accessories.
Heart admitted she has been meeting new people, but she “wouldn’t really call it dating.” A high profile personality whom Heart publicly admitted to going out with is Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, but clarified that they are not “romantically involved.”
Heart revealed it was her “tita” Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago who introduced her to Escudero and also tried pair her up with President Benigno Aquino 3rd.
When asked if she would be willing to go out on a date with PNoy, Heart said she thinks dating the President would be so much pressure.

Perennial heartthrob Richard Gutierrez is finally back on the prime time block with a grand scale production titled Makapiling Kang Muli. A story about love, family and dreams, he stars in this latest directorial project from Ricky Davao, whose backdrop is acres of rustic land called “Rancho Paradiso.”
It’s been almost a year since Richard last appeared in a series, with the conclusion of Captain Barbell in mid-2011. He admirably busied himself with well-received documentaries to push his environmental advocacies, including his newest program Pinoy Adventure, which premiered in May.
Excited to hone his acting chops anew, the 28-year-old actor playfully revealed that his first day back on the set immediately had him in lip-to-lip with his new leading lady, the enchanting Carla Abellana.
“Napasabak ako agad sa halikan!” he laughed at a press huddle on Tuesday night. “On the first shooting day, kissing scene na kami agad ni Carla, so naging comfortable na kami sa isa’t isa agad. She’s so pretty,” the equally dashing actor said of the emerging prime time princess.
In Makapiling Kang Muli, a friendship blossoms between the characters of Martin (Richard) and Leilani (Carla), who secretly fall for one another. Destiny plays a trick on them when a tragic incident happens at the ranch, which causes the death of a number of people including Leilani’s father. Leilani puts the blame on Martin’s shoulders and leaves the ranch to forget her family’s misfortune.
Martin is pained by Leilani’s departure, and in the course of the story, their paths cross once again, but this time their love is forbidden.
“This is one of the biggest milestones of my career,” Richard enthused. “I’m thankful to be part of this project. It’s a very well written script. It’s something new for me and for the audience, kaya naman sobra naming pinaghandaan ito. We even underwent trainings and workshops before shooting Makapi-ling kang Muli.”
For her part, Carla enthused, “I’m blessed. It’s my first time to be working with Richard and some of the most respected stars in the industry. That’s why I made sure that my acting will be at par with my co-actors. Viewers should look forward to this project.”
Playing an equally pivotal roles in the series are Mark Anthony Fernandez and Sarah Lahbati, along with a stellar support cast comprised of Gloria Romero, Robert Arevalo, Philip Salvador, Mark Gil and Rio Locsin; TJ Trinidad, John Lapus, Paolo Paraiso, Dominic Roco, Rocky Gutierrez as Brando, and Janine Gutierrez in an introductory role; with the special participation of Jennylyn Mercado, Gabby Eigenmann, and James Blanco.
Makapiling Ka Muli premieres on June 4 after Luna Blanca on GMA-7. It will be seen worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV beginning June 6.
