IT'S VIC SOTTO & PAULINE LUNA!
MANILA, DECEMBER 28, 2011 (STAR) FUNFARE By Ricardo F. Lo - Vic Sotto (in his Enteng Kabisote character) and Pauleen Luna: Age doesn’t matter.
As you can see, there’s an exclamation point in today’s headline as a way to herald a new chapter in Vic Sotto’s checkered love life — and in Pauleen Luna’s, too!
Yes, they are “officially” an item as confirmed to Funfare by somebody close to them, that’s why you must have noticed some very subtle sweetness in the way they treat each other on Eat, Bulaga! where Vic is “bossing” and Pauleen now the show’s new “first lady,” replacing Vic’s ex-girlfriend Pia Guanio who is now happily married to Steve Mago.
Notice any, uhm, slight friction between Pia and Pauleen? None so far. Pia is happy with her new love and Vic should be with his. Live and let live, love and let love.
Now, did you know that Vic and Pauleen are somewhat connected? When Pauleen was at ABS-CBN, Jericho Rosales was reported to have shown interest in her, much to the chagrin of Kristine Hermosa who was then Jericho’s girlfriend. Now, Kristine is the wife of Vic’s son Oyo (the couple has a months-old child). Small world, isn’t it?
If you see somebody who looks like Vic Sotto with somebody who looks like Pauleen Luna perhaps having a quiet dinner in an A-list restaurant or vacationing in a neighboring province (soon, abroad?), you should know who they are.
Carla Abellana in four of the sexy pictures featured in the 2012 Tanduay calendars. Nothing ‘doctored’? Says a Tanduay PR, ‘What you see is all natural.’
Was Carla ‘photoshopped’ in Tanduay 2012 calendar?
Were Carla Abellana’s sexy pictures on the 2012 Tanduay calendars “photoshopped” to make her look trimmer and slimmer?
Some people said that they were but Tanduay PR Paula P. insisted that they were not.
“What you see is what you get,” said Paula P. “It’s Carla in all the pictures, ‘un-doctored’. Everything is original, natural.”
Carla’s appearance on the calendar capped a year of reinvention. After taking a bow in the GMA version of the Mexican telenovela Rosalinda, followed by other “harmless” soaps, Carla gradually metamorphosed into a sex siren in My Neighbor’s Wife, a provocative sexy-drama from Regal Films. The change of image suits her.
Incidentally, Carla is in the cast of two Metro Manila Filmfest entries, Regal Films’ Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and the E.R. Ejercito-produced Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story in which he plays the title role.
“Carla gives the Tanduay calendar a soft-sexy touch,” added Paula P. “Very tasteful; sexy without baring much of her body.”
Make way for Vanessa Matsunaga, Daniel’s sis
It was her little brother Daniel Matsunaga who inspired and encouraged Vanessa to pursue a career here in the Philippines.
Also a contract artist of Jonas Gaffud’s Mercator like Daniel, Vanessa was discovered at age 13 but her mom said she was too young to be a model. When she was 17, Vanessa was again spotted by a talent scout. There was no stopping her from then on.
Modeling has brought Vanessa to several parts of the world including Thailand, Korea, Cape Town and Hong Kong.
After only several months in the Philippines, she, like Daniel, felt right at home. “Of all the countries I’ve been to,” said Vanessa, “the Philippines comes closest to being like Brazil.”
Aside from modeling, Vanessa also appears in TVCs.
