JOLO REVILLA ASKING FOR PRAYERS; TONTON & GLYDEL EXPECTING 2nd BABY

MANILA,

(MALAYA)  ETHEL RAMOS ( ‘[N]othing, of course, can compare to what their family is going through right now.’)

TONTON Gutierrez and wife Glydel Mercado are currently awaiting the birth of their second baby. Another girl, Tonton beamed.

Their eldest, Aneeza, according to the actor, is now six years old. "Kaya big surprise para sa amin ang pagbubuntis na ito ni Glydel," Tonton said. "Kasi, when Aneeza turned one year-old, talagang nag-try kami to get Glydel pregnant again.

"Pero, ‘di nag-materialize."

He was, therefore, surprised, when Glydel, one day, told him she was pregnant. "We, naturally, hoped it would be a boy," he added.

Glydel’s pregnancy this time was not as easy as the first one. She didn’t only feel tired easily; she got sick most of the time. Which is why, Tonton related, Glydel had to promptly resign from the soap she was doing.

Do they plan to have another baby after this one? we asked Tonton, adding: "Baka maging lalaki na."

"Kung ako ang masusunod," Tonton replied, "okay lang na magkaroon pa kami ng isang anak. Pero, sabi ni Glydel, ayaw na niya.

"Ang gawin na lamang daw namin ay to prepare for the future of our daughters. As much as possible, we want them to study in good and exclusive schools para maging maganda ang kanilang future."

Tonton is cast with former sister-in-law, Lotlot de Leon, who is now estranged from husband Ramon Christopher, Tonton’s younger half-brother, in TV5’s new teleserye, "Glamorosa."

Both Tonton and Ramon Christopher are sons of Eddie Gutierrez.

"Glamorosa," by the way, also co-stars Tonton with Lorna Tolentino and Alice Dixson. New TV5 find Ritz Azul is introduced.

Jolo Revilla is genuinely surprised with the report alleging that he feels insecure of newcomer Xian Lim, who is said to be finally getting his chance with lead actress of "My Binondo Girl" Kim Chiu.

"Sabi pa sa balita," Jolo continued, "si Xian na raw ang lalabas na leading man ni Kim, since daw based on the story of ‘My Binondo Girl’ this time, Kim will end up with him."

Actually, Jolo added, it really doesn’t matter to him who Kim will end up with. As far as he is concerned, he doesn’t find any changes in the flow of the story, especially where his role is concerned.

"Besides," he reasoned, "wala akong karapatang magreklamo, since, as you all know, dahil sa mga sunod sunod na mga pangyayari sa akin at sa aking pamilya lately, mabuti na lang at ‘di naapektuhan ang trabaho."

Firstly, after all, he was hospitalized due to what his first doctor thought was a bleeding in his brain.

Thank goodness that after seeking a second opinion, he and his parents found out that Jolo was instead suffering from acute migraine.

But nothing, of course, can compare to what their family is going through right now. It’s the kind, according to newscaster Julius Babao, which you wouldn’t want to wish even to your worst enemy.

As Jolo said: "We need prayers. Plenty of prayers. At sana, God listens."
