MANILA, AUGUST 9, 2011 (MALAYA) ETHEL RAMOS (While waiting for the project, the two are busy, Robin is seen in the nightly “Guns and Roses,” while Vhong is on the daily program “Showtime.”)

EULA Valdez was with her son with Ronnie Quizon, the elder brother of Eric Quizon, when she watched the premiere of the much-acclaimed Cinemalaya indie movie, "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank."

The boy, now a teenager, has the best features of his parents. He is much taller than his mom.

We asked Eula if the boy is considering a showbiz career. After all, besides having a famed actress for a mom, he has Comedy King Dolphy for his grandfather.

Ronnie Quizon is Dolphy’s son with starlet Pamela Ponti (real name: Baby Smith), who now lives in the US with their only daughter, Madonna.

"Naku, hindi," Eula quickly replied, before steering her son to join the rest of the celebrity guests who were seated in the upper section of the Cinema One theater in Gateway, Cubao.

Other celebrities at the premiere were Sam Milby, Pokwang, Chocoleit, Enchong Dee and Johnny Manahan, who heads Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema.

Also potted was actress Lorna Tolentino came with sons Rap and Renz (Fernandez), both aspiring actor themselves.

"Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" stars Eugene Domingo, Kean Cipriano, Cai Cortez and JM de Guzman.

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes admit that the friendship that developed because of their constant togetherness on the set of their recently-concluded high-rating series, Mara Clara, helped them a lot during the shooting of their first movie, "Way Back Home."

"Noong una, lalo na ako, ninenerbiyos talaga," Kathryn revealed. "Ganun din, I noticed, ang nararamdaman ni Julia.

"But the two of us chose not to talk about it. We went on with our work, with the guidance, of course, of our director, Jerry Lopez Sineneng.

"Talagang tinutukan niya kami. Unless satisfied siya with our acting for a particular scene, he would not allow us to face the cameras.

"But it was worth it," she added. "When we were shown the rushes, both Julia and I felt very satisfied."

Comedienne Melai Cantiveros, a product of the reality show, "Pinoy Big Brother," said she has no intention of bleaching her skin, although there are now several whitening products that are affordable.

"I’d rather keep my dark complexion. Bigay ito sa akin ng Diyos, so I have to maintain it. Besides, it goes with how I look. Hindi kagandahan, ‘di naman kapangitan. Basta, feel ko, maganda ako," she said.

Her boyfriend, Jason Francisco, revealed he loves Melai the way she is. He likes her humor specially. When they are together, there’s no dull moment, said Jason.

Asked it Melai’s manner of speaking is natural, Jason said it is.

Wasn’t Melai a college student when she joined PBB?

"Pero, ‘di naman requirement for a PBB contestant to be fluent in English.

"Ako nga, ‘di rin ako masyadong marunong mag-English," Jason replied.

Robin Padilla and Vhong Navarro will reportedly do a sitcom together. Yes, for ABS-CBN.

Robin, however, will have to wrap up first the ongoing series, "Guns and Roses," his first team-up with Bea Alonzo.

Vhong is currently busy with his daily program, "Showtime," which he co-hosts with Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza and Vice Ganda.

Robin just arrived home with wife, Mariel Rodriguez, from Paris, where he joined a performance for the Regional Network Group, an ABS-CBN affiliate.

He and Mariel also went to the Vatican where they tried to ask permission to marry in Catholic rites.

"Maraming requirements silang hinihingi. Which probably need a second trip there," related Robin.

How true is the report that Mariel has changed her mind about a Catholic Church wedding? It is said that she is now satisfied with the Muslim rites they had in India.

Robin converted to Islam in 1995.
