Vicki Belo recently stopped by our radio show “Goodtimes” last Wednesday and caused our phone lines to burn with questions from all over the world.

When rumors about the real status of her relationship with Hayden Kho surfaced, she proved that her candid spirit triumphed through all the trials she’s been through by setting it straight with three words on the show: “I am engaged!”

And of course I immediately ogled at her beautiful engagement ring – a princess cut diamond elegantly set in a band studded with small diamonds.

It was Hayden’s arm that kept her steady at the opening of her first clinic in the US last Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at 1160 North Central Avenue, Suite 201, in Glendale, California. This is her next step in sharing her experience as she is now dubbed “Asia’s Guru of Beauty” after establishing a world class reputation for more than two decades of being in the forefront of cosmetic surgery and dermatology.

Also, she is the doctor to international personalities such as Charice, eight-division world boxing champion and politician Manny Pacquiao, and Las Vegas’ “Siren of the Strip” Lani Misalucha. The latest addition to the Belo family is Journey lead singer Arnel Pineda.

Who better to give advice than the woman who has, and still is the pioneer in various advanced cosmetic procedures, dominating the local industry? Aside from her very successful professional career, people intrigue about Dr. Belo’s private life with magnifying glass at every endeavor.

She has never been the type to shy away from confronting public opinion and scrutiny. While many have pushed her to being the most recognizable doctor in the country, it did come with quite a hefty price.

To boast a bit more because we can, (wink, wink) last year, Belo Medical Group received the Reader’s Digest Platinum Award for being one of the most trusted brands in Asia. The platinum citation meant Belo is three times more trusted than other brands. Belo was also honored by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the Top 10 Businesses of the Decade.

The Glendale opening featured guest performers Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Lani Misalucha and other VIPs like Ruffa Gutierrez and other beauty queens, top models and fashion designers.
