STILL ON KRIS' CRYING BINGE
MANILA, MARCH 20, 2010 (STAR) By Mario Bautista ‘Gusto talaga ni Kris, she has the last word.’ AT the presscon we attended Monday night, most movie writers present said they were turned off by Kris Aquino’s crying binge in the "The Buzz" after Boy Abunda’s taped interview with Ruffa Gutierrez. Ruffa offered peace and even gave Kris flowers so they’ll have no more Team Ruffa and Team Kris but just Team Friendship.
"Gusto talaga ni Kris, she has the last word," says one newshen. "At talagang tinodo niya ang pag-emote, kaya lang ang dalas na niyang ngumangalngal sa ‘The Buzz’ kaya nakakasawa na. Hindi pala siya sincere in apologizing to Ruffa kasi pinilit lang siya ng sisters niya and she feels wala siyang nagawang mali."
"Ang haba ng aria at litanya niya but it all boils down to electioneering dahil ang bottomline niya, please vote for Noynoy," says another writer. "’Di ba dapat bawal ‘yun sa TV? I would have admired her more kung nag-thank you na lang siya kay Ruffa for the flowers. That would have put a period sa issue nila."
Even on the net, most letter writers disdain her. Here are two letters that more or less summarize the reaction of readers who wrote to us. This is from Sonny True: "Kris, if ever Noynoy would lose, he should blame no one else but you. You might pull in the crowds in his provincial sorties but your behavior on TV is so off-putting. The issue here is Ruffa finally reacting to your endless pambabara to her, not people using you to attack Noynoy. Review your ‘Point of View’ segment and see how many times you tried to embarrass Ruffa, even Boy Abunda. If Noynoy would lose, blame it on your ego and being so self-centered. Honestly, we have high respects for Ninoy and Cory, but for you, nada, sorry to say but not even for Noynoy who’s been so quiet at the senate all the time and now suddenly runs for the presidency just become your mom passed away. Sa inyong lahat, only Ballsy commands respect and I’m sad she’s not able to knock some sense into your conceited head."
This is from Gingging Lam-Uy: "Kris should be nominated for her acting in ‘The Buzz.’ Bakit kaya hindi niya ibigay ‘yung ganung klase ng acting sa kanyang teleserye? Kasi doon, umiiyak man siya o tumatawa pareho ang expression ng face niya. Hindi naman niya madadaya ang viewers kasi hindi lang naman si Ruffa ang binabara niya kundi pati si Boy Abunda. It’s true that Kris is not a liar kasi when she got STD from Joey Marquez, ipinamalita pa niya sa buong mundo. Sa totoo lang, I’d rather vote for a president who doesn’t have a sister like Kris who’s more a liability than an asset to him."
At the presscon we attended, some writers point out that when Joey Marquez had a medical exam then, it was shown that he never had STD. They also recalled how Kris went to visit the wake of Cristy Fermin’s mom recently and chided Cristy for not going to the wake of President Cory’s. Cristy said she wrote so many tributes to Cory in her columns that would be more than enough than her actual presence in the wake. "Ikaw nga, namatay ang father ng publicist mo, ni hindi mo pinuntahan," Cristy added. She’s referring to Vinia Vivar whose dad, Levi Pabalan, passed away a few weeks ago.So Kris went to Vinia’s house and only then did she give an abuloy of P10,000 to Vinia.

"Showbiz Central" interviewed Troy Montero about the reported breakup of the marriage of his brother KC from Geneva Cruz but he said that he himself was surprised when he learned about it. That shows you how close he is to his brother. "I really don’t know anything about it and I didn’t see any signs that they’ve split," he says.
KC is now in the US after watching the Pacquiao fight while Geneva is doing a show in China so the parties directly involved cannot be interviewed about this. "I just hope they can still work things out when they come back," Troy adds.
KC and Geneva were married in the US six years ago. Geneva’s son, Heaven (now 14, with Introvoys drummer Paco Arespacochaga as dad), is very close to KC and is said to feel so sad about what happened.

Iwa Moto is flattered that she’s included in FHM’s 25 Sexiest Women of the Decade and made the cover of their special anniversary issue.
"Kasi ang daming girls na na-cover din nila, e ako, baguhan lang ako, and yet napasama ko sa list nila so it’s an honor talaga," she says. "Feeling ko, sobrang haba ng hair ko and it really boosted my self confidence. Pero siempre, nakaka-pressure din kasi ‘di na ako puede tumaba uli. Kailangan ma-maintain ko na itong slim na katawan ko. Hindi madaling magpigil sa pagkain, ano? So, natututo tuloy ako ng self-discipline. Hay, mahirap maging sexy."
How did she prepare for her new cover pictorial?
"Walang time. They just informed me Feb. 20, then Feb. 22, shoot na. Buti magandang lumabas ang buong pictorial kaya ‘di ako nagsising pumayag ako kahit short notice."
She doesn’t mind being second choice as the first choice was Angel Locsin, who suddenly backed out, and that she shares the cover with Bangs Garcia.
"’Yung ibang tao, ginagawan ‘yun ng issue. Pero sa’kin, wala talagang issue. Hindi ako nag-inarte at all.

Aljur’s edge over other actors his age is that he sings well and GMA Records-Sony BMG is also launching his first album.
"I feel so nervous about the concert and the album," he says. "I hope the public will support both."
The poster for his "I’m Yours" concert shows him shirtless. Is he going to appear naked from the waist up during the show?
"That they’ll have to find out by watching my concert. It’s summer, so dapat, mag-init din ang gabi ng mga manonood ng concert ko. All I can say is that the title is ‘I’m Yours’ as I really want to offer myself to the audience. I’ll be singing 15 songs at ngayon pa lang, panay na ang rehearse ko to show na I’m really a good live performer. Hindi kasi ito parang sa ‘SOP’ na sanda-sandali lang ang exposure ko kundi I’m there sa buong concert. Ito ang pa-birthday ko sa kanila and they won’t feel shortchanged when they watch my show. Darating ang iba ko pang friends sa showbiz like sina Moymoy Palaboy as my surprise guest."
