MANILA, MARCH 13, 2010 (STAR) FUNFARE By Ricardo F. Lo - According to this paper’s Allure section assistant editor Bum Tenorio, the couple’s friend, Ryan is ecstatic that in seven months, he will be a brand-new dad.

“Juday is just cool about it,” said Bum, “or it has not sunk in yet that yes, she is two months pregnant.”

“Ayos!” was Ryan’s first reaction when he first heard the heartbeat of their baby in Juday’s womb. Juday was tested positive in her pregnancy test at the Asian Hospital two weeks ago but the couple waited until yesterday to make the announcement.

“We wanted to make sure before we made the announcement,” Bum quoted Ryan as saying. “So, when we were at Asian and I heard the baby’s heartbeat, that was really the time we confirmed that Juday is pregnant. I’m beyond words. There is no single word that I can think of to describe how happy I am.”

While Ryan was making the happy announcement on Eat, Bulaga! yesterday, Juday was at home preparing barbecue for their dinner with friends.

Added Ryan in jest, “Doble kayod ako nito,” hinting that Juday will take it slow at the showbiz front.

The couple’s five-year-old adopted daughter Yohan is so excited that she’s the one breaking the news to her grandparents and other relatives.

“Excited siya maging big sister,” Ryan said.

Jun Jun & Andeng: Beautiful love story

The love story of Rizal Gov. Casimiro Ynares III (who is running for reelection unopposed in the May 10 elections) and Andrea “Andeng” Bautista (reelectionist Sen. Bong Revilla’s little sister) is fit for a romance flick.

They met as medical students in La Salle Cavite. Jun Jun went on to become a doctor (even if he really wanted to be a lawyer) and Andeng quit on her third year. They began going steady until they got married on Nov. 19, 2005. Their first born, Cassandra Danielle, who’s turning three in November, will have a baby sister on March 28.

“That’s why I couldn’t campaign for Jun Jun all the time,” said Andeng.

When they were going steady, Jun Jun thought of a unique way of making up with Andeng after a lovers’ quarrel. He hired a band and asked the lead singer to serenade Andeng with the song Misty. Of course, Andeng’s heart melted and they were back in each other’s arms.

Jun Jun said that he and Andeng hardly have many things in common.

“I love to eat while Andeng is forver on a diet,” said Jun Jun. “She has been dieting in the past 16 years that I’ve known her.”

Asked what makes their marriage successful, virtually a marriage between showbiz and politics, Andeng said you must have the nod of both your families.

“Jun Jun courted not only me but also, and especially, my Kuya Bong and my dad (former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr.). Naku, medyo nahirapan siya,” laughed Andeng.

They didn’t have to adjust to being in the political eye since both of them come from political families. Jun Jun’s grandfather, Casimiro Ynares Sr., was a mayor of Binangonan before he became a board member of the province (Rizal). Jun Jun’s father, Casimiro Jr., was also Binangonan mayor before he became Rizal governor. Jun Jun’s mother, Rebecca Alcantara-Ynares, was herself one-time Rizal governor.

On Andeng’s side, besides her dad and Kuya Bong (both senators), her brother Strike is mayor of Bacoor, Cavite, and her sister Rowena was once councilor of Imus, Cavite. Andeng’s sister-in-law Lani Mercado (Bong’s wife) is running for congress also in Cavite.

The sentimental couple has kept identical Cartier watches as souvenirs of their courtship days.

“Pinag-ipunan namin pareho ‘yon,” said Andeng.

• Yes, it was German “Kuya Germs” Moreno who discovered Piolo Pascual via That’s Entertainment, his Sunday noontime show on GMA. Piolo was barely out of his teens then — “At payat pa siya,” said Kuya Germs. Piolo was then known as PJ Pascual. He left for the States where, a few years later, he was rediscovered by Jojie Dingcong who also discovered Cogie Domingo, Derek Ramsay and Matteo Guidicelli whom he manages.
