OYO, KRISTINE TO MARRY IN THE U.S.
MANILA, JANUARY 31, 2010 (MALAYA) ETHEL RAMOS (‘A source close to Dina Bonnevie reportedly heard the latter say that her son Oyo and Kristine will soon leave for the US to get married there.’)
STARDOM, no doubt, becomes Angelica Panganiban.
When she recently met members of the entertainment press at the presscon of her first title role series, Rubi, she did not only look very pretty but also exuded an air of confidence associated only with those who know they have attained success in their chosen career.
She now answers questions thrown at her by any of the e-press present not with much intelligence, perhaps, but enough to impress the interrogators and those listening.
She is now articulate, even when answering questions in English.
"Ikaw na ang magka-boyfriend ng Inglesero at ipinanganak at lumaki ng United Kingdom," said a kibitzer.
Angelica’s boyfriend, Derek Ramsay was born and reared in the United Kingdom.
While he finished his schooling at a university in London, he studied additional courses in the US.
But Derek speaks Tagalog well. Thanks, he said, to his experience of living with some barkada in Quezon City.
In fairness to Angelica, however, she finished high school and would have proceeded to college, if not for her busy schedule.

Angelica is the busiest among her contemporaries at Star Magic.
Aside from the series, "Rubi," she is also in the cast of the daily gag program, "Banana Split."
She was also the lead star in the Star Cinema Metro Manila Film Festival entry, "I Love You… Goodbye," which was adjudged second official top grosser in the 2009 filmfest.
The film, directed by Laurice Guillen, also starred Gabby Concepcion, Derek and Kim Chiu.
Angelica’s performance in the movie as a middle-class girl who, because of her ambition to improve her life, is forced to marry an older man nearly won for her the MMFF best actress trophy.
"Although nanghihinayang ako that I failed to get the award, I cannot deny that Miss Sharon (Cuneta, who won the award for her movie, ‘Mano Po 6, A Mother’s Love’) is most deserving of her victory," Angelica stated.

In "Rubi," Angelica plays a strong-willed woman driven by a dark ambition, all in her desire to escape from poverty and to live in luxury.
Very similar, in a way, to the role she played in "I Love You… Goodbye," except that Rubi is a local adaptation of a TV series from Mexico.
Rubi will mark the first collaboration between Mexico’s Televisa and ABS-CBN.
"Rubi" will start airing on February 15. Also starring are Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca and Shaina Magdayao.

It looks like it’s the real thing between Oyo Sotto and Kristine Hermosa.
A source close to Dina Bonnevie reportedly said that her son Oyo and Kristine will soon leave for the US to get married there.
It will be the second marriage for Kristine, if ever.
Her first marriage to Diether Ocampo in Jaen, Nueva Ecija was annulled last year.
Meantime, Dina is looking forward to becoming a lola again for the second time, courtesy of her daughter, Danica, who is pregnant with her second child with her husband, basketball player Mark Pingris.
Their firstborn is nearly two years old.

Former Senator Tito Sotto promised his daughter, Ciara and his brand new son-in-law, Jojo Oconer, a new car for a wedding gift.
Senator Sotto, who is again running for senate in May 2010, is just waiting for the couple to arrive from their honeymoon before he purchases the car.
He wants them to bring home the car themselves after he buys it.
Ciara and Jojo were married January 17 at the Manila Polo Club in Forbes Park, Makati.
