GUESS who this top TV executive is. This lady executive of a top network reportedly has applied for retirement in advance so she could accept the offer of an upstart network for a higher position.

Actually, our source said she would not have done this had she not been pressured.

Liezl Martinez and Yayo Aguila, sisters-in-law in real-life, are appearing as siblings in the drama anthology, "Maalaala Mo Kaya" (MMK), featuring the life and love story of the late President Cory Aquino and Ninoy Aquino.

Liezl will play the role of Ballsy, the Aquinos’ eldest, while Yayo will be Pinky, the second daughter.

Playing Kris Aquino is Jodi Sta. Maria.

Liezl and Yayo’s husbands are brothers Albert and William Martinez.

While this is a comeback appearance of sorts for Liezl, Yayo has been appearing in TV shows produced by ABS-CBN, GMA 7 and TV5.

As of this writing, the production staff of MKK has yet to announce who will portray Senator Noynoy.

Appearing as President Cory and Senator Ninoy are Bea Alonzo and Piolo Pascual.

How true are the reports that Kris Aquino got mad at John Lloyd Cruz, who was actually the original choice for the role of Senator Ninoy in the MKK series?

The actor reportedly begged off from accepting the offer, as he didn’t want to be identified with any politician. Or, obviously with any political party, for that matter.

In any case, Kris said that when she had a chance meeting with John Lloyd recently, she told him her hinanakit.

"Nasaktan daw talaga kasi si Kris," said a kibitzer, "dahil father nga naman niya si Senator Ninoy."

The competition began last October and will last until February.

Two winners, a male and a female, will be proclaimed.
