RUFFA:  STOP  LINKING  ME  TO  JUN JUN BINAY  AND  NOYNOY

MANILA, NOVEMBER 6, 2009 (MALAYA) ETHEL RAMOS ( ‘The slightest insinuation of me and the Councilor is not only disrespectful to the memory of his wife who recently passed away but also to all her loved ones. – Ruffa Gutierrez KRIS Aquino must be told that Ruffa Gutierrez, her co-host in the talk program, "The Buzz," on ABS-CBN, is offended with her (Kris) matching Ruffa to recent widower, Makati Councilor Jun Jun Binay.

It’s not that Ruffa doesn’t like the guy, whom she had met only once. Her family, according to Ruffa, considers Councilor Jun Jun’s family a friend.

"Close nga ang Mommy (Annabelle Rama) kay (Makati) Mayor Jojo Binay (father of Jun Jun).

"Ganunpaman, I find it disrespectful that I’d be linked to a guy who may not have overcome the grief he may have suffered due to the untimely death of his wife.

"And what about Councilor Jun Jun’s family, the family of his late wife? How about their children?

"It sure leaves a bad taste in the mouth," Ruffa further stated.

We reprint en toto a text message which Ruffa sent to her good friend, Shirley Kuan, who, in turn, forwarded it to us.

"Feeling kasi ni Ruffa, may correlation ito sa kung anumang ‘retong’ ginagawa ni Kris sa kanya at kay Councilor Jun Jun," said Shirley.

In any case, here’s Ruffa message: "After my shoot for Ukay Ukay, I decided to drop Lorin (her eldest daughter) to school (at the International School).

"This was Wednesday (Nov. 4), 7 a.m.

"On the way, in the car, nagkuwentuhan kami. About school. Her lessons for the day.

"I asked her who her favorite classmates were. She mentioned several names, as I was almost dozing in the car sa antok. Kasi nga, I came straight from my shooting.

"I kind of woke up when Lorin said: ‘She died.’

"I asked: ‘Who died?’

"Lorin: ‘Her mom.’

"Ruffa: ‘Whose mom???’

"Lorin: ‘Alexi’s mom died, Mommy. Alexi Binay. She’s seven years old. One year older than me. My classmate at Repertory Philippines.’

"Ruffa (stunned and wide awake this time): ‘Yes, I remember. That’s so sad, Lorin. Why, what happened to her (the mom)?

"Lorin: ‘She died three months ago while giving birth. She had to choose between saving her own life and that of her baby.’

"Alexi’s mom was beautiful, Mommy. She had long hair.

"Alexi’s lolo is Mayor (Jojo) Binay.

"How sad. Isn’t it, Mommy?"

Ruffa’s comment on her conversation with Lorin: "My conversation with Lorin may not mean anything to other people. But to me, it means a lot. Napaiyak nga ako.

"Kaya, on that note, I’d like to appeal (without mentioning Kris, in particular) that the teasing to Councilor Jun Jun Binay, whom I I’ve met only once and spoken a few words to when I registered in Makati last week, to stop.

"The slightest insinuation of me and the Councilor is not only disrespectful to the memory of his dead wife who recently passed away but also to all her loved ones whom she left behind.

"After all, it’s something not true.

"Same thing with Senator Noynoy Aquino. No more teasing, too, as it is an open book that he is currently in a relationship (with Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad).

"There will be speculations about my personal life, which I am keeping private.

"This much, I can say, I am sure happy now with life, work and most especially with my angels (referring to her two daughters, Lorin and Venice).

"I am whole and happy on my own."

The late wife of Councilor Jun Jun Binay is a former Star Magic talent, who was known by her screen name, Audrey Vizcarra.

She was only in her 20s when she died.

She left behind four kids, including the one she gave birth to before she died.

Now it can be told that Eula Valdez is officially separated from her husband of a few years, Australia-based Richard Litonjua.

Eula reportedly told friends that the distance between them is one of the reasons for their separation.

For a while, after their beach wedding in Boracay, Eula lived in Australia with her husband, playing the simple role of a housewife and mother to their only child.

After a time, she decided to come home to resume her movie and TV career.

She never went back to Australia.

She will soon star in a teleserye, "The Last Prince," on GMA 7, starring Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal.

Eula has a son with Ronnie Quizon, the elder brother of Eric Quizon.
