ALIJUR  STILL  IN  LOVE  WITH  RICH  ASUNCION?

Could the love affair between young Kapuso stars Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal be one sided only?

"Iyong tipong si Kris lang ang in love kay Aljur, who appears napipilitan to go with the flow, sabi nga," said a kibitzer.

"Halata, di ba?" the kibitzer, a showbiz reporter, further said. "Parang wala sa puso ni Aljur kapag sinasagot niya ng oo ang tanong kung in love ba siya kay Kris."

Kris, on the other hand, seems to really have a soft spot for Aljur, he observed. "If I know, she is just waiting for Aljur to make a move. At wika nga, ayos na ang buto buto."

Aljur may still be carrying a torch for Rich Asuncion who is a frequent contestant in beauty contests and now a Kapuso star like Aljur and Kris. He was linked to Rich before he was paired with Kris.

The Aljur-Kris pairing was actually hatched by Direk Maryo de los Reyes, who is gifted with an eye for knowing who will make it as a love team.

Said Direk Maryo: "As early as when they both won in ‘Starstruck’ I already saw in them an ideal team.

"And I was proven right dahil nang ipinagsama ko sila sa kanilang first series together, ‘Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?,’ they clicked. ‘Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin’ earned a rating considered unprecedented for an afternoon teleserye.

"Kaya nga sinundan kaagad itong ‘Dapat’ ng GMA with another series, ‘All My Life.’ And I regret that I wasn’t the one assigned to direct it, since I was already directing ‘Rosalinda.’

"I love working with these two young people. Mababait at very cooperative.

"Kaya nga when Mother Lily proposed that I do a movie with her film firm, Regal Entetrainment, she allowed me not just to do a concept but also choose the actors who will star in it."

In "Nandito ako…Nagmamahal Sa ‘Yo," the director was able to convince Aljur and Kris to shed off their teeny bopper image. Hence the provocative and daring stance the duo display together in the beach scene.

"Ay naku," said Direk Maryo, "sa batrhing suit na lang I made sure that lahat ng kurba ng katawan ni Kris ay maging obvious. In the case of Aljur, I made sure na ang suot niyang swimming trunk will leave nothing to the imagination.

"This movie will chance the moviegoers’ perception about them as actors. Makikita nila how both have grown up as performers.

"Actually I’m excited for them sa movie na ito."

"Nandito Ako…Nagmamahal Sa ‘Yo" was shot in its entirety with picturesque Bohol as backdrop. It comes in more than 100 theaters nationwide on September 30.

Sunshine Dizon said she has become so used to rumors that she is pregnant that a few days back, when word got around that she is in that interesting stage, her first impulse was to just laugh it off.

But then, people close to Sunshine said there was something new to the report and that is Sunshine would go for an abortion.

It was then that these friends of hers decided to take the cudgels for her and told reporters that the rumor was simply impossible as Sunshine has no boyfriend.

And granting that she is really pregnant, Sunshine’s friends doubt if she will get rid of the baby.

"Bakit nga naman niya papayagang magkasalang muli e kasalanan na nga naman ang mabuntis ng walang asawa?" they said.

What excites Sunshine these days is her new soap, "Tinik sa Dibdib," which is adapted from a movie of the same title starring Nora Aunor. She can hardly wait for the reaction of Noranians, since she knows they will surely compare her acting to the original.

But this early, Sunshine promises to do her best.
