MAJA SALVADOR: NO RECONCILIATION WITH CARLO AQUINO IN SIGHT
MANILA, SEPTEMBER 19, 2009 (MALAYA) STUDIO WHISPERS by ETHEL RAMOS (‘They had an on-again off-again romance for more than a year before their first real break-up and then got back together for a year before their second break-up.’)
CONTROVERSIAL young actress Cristine Reyes is obviously enjoying a lucky streak.
She is currently featured in two movies, both scheduled for release before the year ends.
She plays Richard Gutierrez’s leading lady in "Patient X." She also plays the partner of Vic Sotto in M-Zet and APT’s "Ang Darling Kong Aswang," which is a Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
Cristine is the featured star in the weekly series, "Your Song Presents … Babalik Kang Muli."
ABS-CBN is reportedly preparing a drama series for her on primetime.
Cristine almost won the best actress trophy for her performance in "Eva Fonda" in the recently-concluded Seoul International Awards in Seoul, Korea.
Cristine attended the event with ABS-CBN business head for comedy Linggit Tan.

Maja Salvador swears there will be no reconciliation with Carlo Aquino. They had an on-again off-again romance for more than a year before their first real break-up and then they got back together for a year before their second break-up.
Why did they break up in the first place?
"Sabihin na natin na time constraints, especially on my part," she said. "Lately kasi naging very busy din ako.
"I still have ‘May Bukas Pa,’ ‘di ba? Tapos nga, I did my most recent episode for ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya.’
"Now, kailangan kong mag-workshop ng mag-workshop for my role in ‘Nagsimula sa Puso.’"
"Nagsimula sa Puso" is originally a movie starring Hilda Koronel. Maja reprises Hilda’s role.
"Hindi ito madali, ha," Maja admitted. "Paano kung ikumpara ang performance ko kay Ma’am Hilda?"
Co-starring with Maja in "Nagsimula sa Puso" are Jason Abalos and Coco Martin.
Directing the series, which also stars Nikki Gil, are Ruel Bayani and Malou Sevilla.

It was from Maja that we learned about Coco Martin, who figured in an accident recently while taping for his last few scenes in the top rating show, "Tayong Dalawa."
"Nasapol yata siya ng blasting usually used in action scenes.
"I think it was one of his eyes which was injured. Di ko lang matiyak kung kanan o kaliwa. Basta ang alam ko, na-injure ang isa niyang mata. Kailangan itong i-laser.
"Inoobserbahan ang pisngi niya right before his left (or right) eye. Kailangan ma-obserbahan kung kailangan itong ipa-plastic surgery," she further said.

The Yaya and Angelina segment of comics Michael V. and Ogie Alcasid in "Bubble Gang," won a big following among the gag show’s regular viewers.
"To the point," said a GMA 7 insider, "na hinahanap hanap na ito ng viewers. E, balak yata noon nina Michael V. at Ogie to just include it as a segment in the gag show occasionally.
"But the clamor to have the segment as a regular feature in ‘Bubble Gang’ was nationwide.
"And Michael V and Ogie had no choice but to follow their audience’s wish."
Noticing the increasing popularity of the segment, GMA Films and APT Entertainment decided to have the misadventures of the crazy pair "translated" into a movie.
Hence, the upcoming movie, "Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie."
Director Mike Tuviera promises to make the movie version funnier, definitely.
In supporting roles are Aiko Melendez and Jomari Yllana, who plays parents to the forever seven-year-old Angelina, Iza Calzado, Sheena Halili, Victor Aliwalas, Jojo Alejar, Roxanne Guinoo, Pekto Bacua, John Feir and Leo Martinez.
