IS her son Richard Gutierrez still leaving GMA-7? "No. Nag-dinner na kami with the Gozon family at naayos na lahat," says Annabelle Rama. "We have no complaints naman sa talent fee. ‘Yung ibang staff ang nirereklamo ko."
At first, she won’t talk about this, but upon our prodding, she said a series of incidents made her feel bad. "On Atty. Felipe Gozon’s birthday, may video greetings lahat ng stars, tapos si Richard, wala. Sabi ko, ba’t hindi ka nag-greet kay Atty. Gozon? He said, na-video siya at ang haba ng sinabi niya, pero hindi isinali. Obvious na may gusto siyang siraan kina Atty. Gozon as even Mrs. Gozon was asking me why Richard was not included sa greetings. Then, at the GMA Christmas party, walang poster ng ‘Kamandag’ niya, when it’s a toprated GMA show. When he went to Kodak Theater to receive an award, he wanted to stay longer pero pilit siyang pinauwi dahil sa taping ng GMA ID summer plug. So he came home, but when the ID was shown, wala ang anak ko. Kung hindi pa ako nagwala, hindi pa nila ilalabas. Ngayon, mga 10 times yata sa maghapon siya ilabas. Obvious na may sumasabotahe sa kanya."
And who is this? "’Yung EP (executive producer) ng ‘S.O.P.’ na manager ni Dingdong (Dantes). Maski sa ‘S.O.P.’, very minimal ang exposure ni Richard, two minutes lang siguro, tapos kasama na lang siya sa one of those. E, si Dingdong, ang haba-haba ng solo exposure na kumakanta at sumasayaw. Napakabait lang talaga ng anak ko, e. Ayaw mag-complain. Sabi sa’kin, ma, huwag na lang. E, papayag ba akong maapi ang mga anak ko? Talagang ipaglalaban ko sila, ‘no?"
Annabelle is the new endorser of Circulan 4-in-1 of Macropharma. "When they called me up, I said: ‘Day, si Annabelle ito. Teka, tawagin ko si Ruffa.’ But they said, ‘Ikaw talaga ang kailangan namin to endorse Circulan.’ Aba, dumarami ang endorsements ko!"
Her TV commercials for Circulan were shown to us and they’re all very hilarious, especially that one where she says she recommended the product to her friends and it improved their lovelife, which she punctuated with her trademark laughter. Her acting is much more convincing than in her Advil ad.
"I’m glad to say that I’ve improved. Two hours lang namin ginawa ang two storyboards, unlike before na na-take 27 ako kaya inabot na ng gabi at nagpa-order na ng midnight snack ang ad agency."
Did she take an acting workshop this time?
"Yes, sa asawa ko, kay Eddie Gutierrez. Pero bago nag-shoot, nagsimba ako sa Sto. Nino sa Cebu. Dinasal kong ma-memorize ko sana lahat ng lines ko na pagkahahaba pa naman. Ayun, nagmilagro nga ang Sto. Nino at na-deliver ko lahat ng lines ko nang maayos. Basta sabi ko sa director, huwag siya sisigaw ng ‘Cut’ para hindi ako mataranta. Tapos nag-take din ako ng Circulan para ma-improve pati memory ko."
With her new movie, "Monster Mom," we won’t be surprised if Annabelle would soon have as many endorsements as Ruffa. She says Circulan improved even her sex life. "Parang Viagra pala ‘yan. Dong, nagulat ang asawa ko. Kahit pagod ako sa shooting, pagdating ko sa bahay, kinakalabit ko pa siya. Talagang mas naging healthy ako dahil bumaba ang blood pressure at cholesterol ko. Kaya mag-take na rin kayo ng Circulan at magiging maniac kayo."

Senator Bong Revilla has finally revealed that his daughter Inah is pregnant and this is the real reason why she is getting married even if she’s only 18 years old. His wife Lani added that Inah learned about her pregnancy as early as February. Lani was also already pregnant with their eldest son, Brian, when she and Bong tied the knot.
This early, a lot of VIPs from the worlds of showbiz and politics (to both of which Sen. Bong belongs) are volunteering to be principal sponsors on Inah and her fiancee, Vince. The plan whether the wedding will be here or in the States is also not final. It’s for Inah and Vince to decide and wherever they wish the wedding to be, Bong and Lani would just support them. But the wedding is definitely set on May 28.

Teleradyo is celebrating its 1st anniversary and it’s now also available in
North America via TFC to enable our kababayans there to get the latest
political and entertainment news from DZMM’s formidable roster of top
caliber anchors. Incidentally, three of its female anchors are getting
married this year. First is Nina Corpus who’s marrying Vince Rodriguez of
Quezon in Paris on May 20, followed by Bernadette Sembrano who’ll be a June
bride on June 12, and Cheryl Cosim who’s getting hitched in October. Isn’t
colleague Korina Sanchez envious of them? "Not at all," she says. "Sana kung
wala akong lovelife."
So it’s not true that she’s broken up with Sen. Mar Roxas?
"Not true at all. April Fool’s Day joke lang ‘yun ng isang dyaryo."
How come there’s a rumor that Sen. Mar’s family on the Araneta side does not approve of her?
"Alam mo, I don’t feel that. It’s unfair for them kasi ineestima naman nila ako. I really admire their family kasi low-key lang sila even if you know they’re rich. Simple lang sila, matatalino, hindi mahilig sa mga sosyalan, naka-simpleng shirt and maong jeans lang and they don’t flaunt their wealth at all. Kundi pa man ako kinakasal, it’s because it’s my choice. After my parents died, I made a vow that I won’t settle down hanggat hindi ko nakikitang stable na ang tatlong kapatid ko and my three nephews and four nieces who I love so much. Para akong naging nanay at lola nila. Marami pa kong tinataguyod at sinusuportahan, hindi lang sa family ko kundi pati sa ibang taong tinutulungan ko, like the housing project for Umiray farmers for which I had a bazaar."
How about the rumor that she plans to have her own child soon?
"Wala akong plano. Siempre, kailangang kasal muna. I don’t want to have a child out of wedlock."
Was she offended when Toni Gonzaga implied that she prefers to be a Karen Davila than a Korina Sanchez while doing PBB Teens with Luis Manzano?
"No comment. But I’ve done many good stories on Toni Gonzaga in ‘Rated K’ and I’m happy for her that ‘Rated K’ and other shows have helped her career along the way."
Is it true she’s noted for being mataray to the people she works with?
"I’m not just the host of ‘Rated K’ but also the executive producer, so I really expect good work from all those who work with me. Kung totoong maraming galit sa’kin dahil mataray ako, how come my staff, who’s been with me 20 years ago, are still with me until today? May umaalis man, bumabalik din later."
Korina is glad that her "Tambalang Failon at Sanchez" on DZMM with Ted Failon can now be heard abroad through DZMM Teleradyo, along with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja in "Dos por Dos," Neil Ocampo in "Todo Balita," Angelo Palmones, Ted Failon, Bernadette Sembrano, Nina Corpuz, Alex Santos and Pinky Webb in "Radyo Patrol Balita," and Cristy Fermin, Jobert Sulcaldito and Alfie Lorenzo for showbiz news. This month, DZMM joins the Philippine Tourism Authority World Caravan to promote Teleradyo in California. Aside from the worldwide roll-out of Teleradyo, DZMM will soon also launch its official website www.dzmm.com.ph.
"The website will have a news page and allow people to contribute news or stories they’ve witnessed," says station manager Angelo Palmones, who’s happy that Nielsen Media Research for Mega Manila shows that DZMM tops all AM radio stations for the first quarter of 2008 with an audience share of 7.8%.
