Senator Bong Revilla threw a birthday blowout for ABS-CBN PR director Leah Salterio at the Sugi Restaurant in Greenhills. The asalto he gives her has become a yearly habit for the good senator. The party he threw for her last year was also at the same restaurant.
Senator Bong’s friendship with Leah dates back to when the latter was a staff member of the Inquirer. Through the years, Leah has grown closer not only to Senator Bong, but also to his sisters, Rowena and Andeng.
Leah invited only a handful of friends who also happen to be close to Senator Bong, Rowena and Andeng. There were Salve Asis, entertainment editor of PM and associate entertainment editor of Pilipino Star Ngayon; Ian Fariñas, entertainment editor of Tonight; Shirley Pizarro, associate entertainment editor of Manila Bulletin; and yours truly. From her office, Leah invited two of the members of her staff, Gian Carlo and Karen.
Also present were Paul Cabral and Bernard Cloma.
Paul and Bernard are leaving with Rowena and Andeng for a two-week European trip. They will be back a few days before Senator Bong’s birthday on September 25.

"This is my first trip with Ate Rowena since we went with the entire family for a European tour where we purposely stayed for a few days in Lourdes, France. Pabalik-balik naming kasing dinala ang Mommy (the late Asucena Martel) sa grotto ng Lourdes. At that time, she was suffering from diabetes," said Andeng. "Feeling ko, dininig ng Birhen ang pana-langin namin, since kung ilang taon ding nakapiling pa namin ang Mommy bago siya binawian ng buhay."
Their first stopover will be Amsterdam, where Andeng’s husband, Junjun, chairman of the Government’s Lake Authority, will attend a three-day convention. Their itinerary also includes Rome, Paris, Rome, Milan and London.
"First time din na makakasama ng Ate Rowena ko ang kanyang mister na si Kuya Boyet (Mendoza) sa isang tour. Europe pa," Andeng stated.

"At 16, ayoko pang magpaligaw," Shaina said. "Mapapagalitan ako ng Ate Vina (referring to Vina Morales), kapag nagkataon.
"I promised them kasi that I’d finish my studies, kahit pa mag-a-artista ako. Ito kasi ang gusto ko, pati ng parents ko."
Shaina said she plans to study medicine in college. She’s now in fourth year high school.
Shaina and Rayver are with Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson in the episode, "Charm and Crystal," of "Love Spell," which will air all Sundays of September on ABS-CBN.
