MANILA STOP: BATA, DJANGO IN SAN MIGUEL 9-BALL

Paranaque City, May 27, 2003 -- Six veteran Filipino campaigners in the
international pro billiards circuit will be seen in action against their
peers in the Manila leg of the San Miguel Asian 9-Ball Tour this weekend.

Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco “Django” Bustamante, Warren Kiamco, Antonio
“Nikoy” Lining, Leonardo “Dodong” Andam and Rodolfo “Boy” Luat will banner
the Philippine campaign in the two-day tournament, jointly organized by
ESPN Star Sports and Puyat Sports which be held on May 31-June 1 at Pearl
Plaza in Parañaque City.

Reyes, Bustamante, Kiamco and Lining were picked by the organizers. Andam
and Luat qualified to enter the meet by topping an elimination tournament
last week.

“With their records and vast experience, plus the fact they are playing
before hometown crowds, there is a good chance they could dominate the
tournament,” Puyat Sports president Aristeo Puyat said.

The tournament is the second stop of the Asian Tour which was launched in
Singapore last March. (Tribune)
