THIS MOBILE PHONE GLOWS IN THE DARK!

MANILA, September 17, 2003  (STAR) Style-conscious mobile phone users have a lot to celebrate with the introduction of the new Nokia 3100.

Formally launched during a press conference this week that also featured a "Nokia Bright Spot" exhibit and entertainment in Eastwood City, the new Nokia 3100 is the lightest and coolest Nokia phone to date.

Glow-in-the-dark covers, animated color screensavers, tri-band, MMS functionality and smileys in the message editor are just some of the new and exciting features of the Nokia 3100.

The Nokia 3100, which weights a mere 85 grams and is the most affordable tri-band Nokia phone, will be available in the Philippines starting this month.

To complement young and active social lives, Nokia has introduced a number of lifestyle enhancements to accompany the Nokia 3100, including the Nokia Fun Camera (sold separately), which is a stand-alone VGA camera with its own viewfinder, flash and power supply.

With one MG of memory, the Nokia Fun Camera can be attached to the Nokia 3100, while the Pop-Port connectivity of the Nokia 3100 also enables users to utilize the Nokia radio headset.

The Nokia 3100’s cover also had a glow-in-the-dark strip that allows you to find your phone in the dark. Answer your phone in style when the rhythmic backlight alert flashes in tune with your ringing tone, or get cool lighting effects in sync with the phone’s gaming action.

For young achievers and trendsetting kids who want only the most out of their mobile phones, the Nokia 3100 is a feature-packed device that also offers the following:

• Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) – send and receive messages containing images and texts.

• Java games – enjoy new games such as Beach Rally, Snake EX2 and Bowling, or download new games via WAP.

• Tri-band functionality – operates on GSM 900/1800/1900 bands which can be used from anywhere in the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.

• Xpress-on gaming cover (sold separately) – features an eight-way rocker and special light effects that make the phone "sparkle" in rhythm with ringing tones, games, alarm and other phone functions.
