POPULAR SINGERS, BANDS START ARRIVING IN MANILA FOR VALENTINE CONCERTS
MANILA, February 11, 2004 (STAR) - Popular singers and bands have started to arrive in Manila for various concerts this Valentine’s.
Advisories from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Media Affairs Division said that among the artists and bands who are scheduled to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are ABBA, Toto, Patty Austin, James Ingram, Brian McKnight and Boys II Men.
Some members of ABBA arrived last night via Royal Dutch Airways flight KLM-807 at 6:50 p.m.
Austin was also scheduled to arrive last night via Japan Airlines (JAL) flight JL-745 at 10:05 p.m.
McKnight is expected to arrive this morning at 5:30 a.m. via Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR-105.
Ingram is expected to arrive this evening at 10:05 p.m. via JAL flight JL-745.
Tomorrow, Feb. 12, the band Boys II Men is expected to arrive in the morning at 5:30 a.m. via PAL flight PR-105.
Toto is scheduled to arrive tomorrow afternoon at 4:50 p.m. via Singapore Airlines flight SQ-074.
ABBA popularized hit songs such as Dancing Queen, Fernando, and Chiquitita.
Austin popularized the songs I Believe in Paradise and In My Life.
McKnight popularized the songs One Last Cry and Back At One.
Ingram popularized hit songs such as Just Once and How Do You Keep the Music Playing.
Boys II Men popularized the hit song I’ll Make Love To You.
Toto popularized hit songs such as Rosanna, Africa and Lea. – Sandy Araneta
