SUBIC FIRM TO MAKE BOEING PARTS

Subic Freeprot, May 9, 2003 -- American firm D-J Aerospace Inc.,
manufacturer of parts for Boeing aircraft, has opened a manufacturing plant
in Subic for Boeing aircraft.

The P55-million investment represents the company's initial investment. It
aims to complement the production of D-J Aerospace mother firm,
Kansas-based D-J Engineering Inc., which also assembles other aircraft
parts and components to many aircraft manufacturers.

The Subic plant will assemble aircraft parts like crank spacers, fittings,
angles, chord and inter-coastal assembly including seat racks and hinge
mount for Boeing 747, door hinges and window sills for Boeing 737.

It will also produce other aircraft parts for Boeing 777, Gulfstream
Private Jet and Eclipse Aviation.

D-J Aerospace vice president for operation Rashedul Chowdhurry expressed
confidence of the investment despite the fact that aircraft business is down.

"In this kind of business, we could hardly tell if we're going to succeed
or not, especially now that the aircraft business is down. But are
confident that... we would surpass problems and be even able to expand
operations in the future," Chowdhurry said.

The project will employ 221 workers. (Malaya)
