DESK JOBS FOR COPS LINKED TO KURATONG CASE

Camp Crame, Quezon City, April 4, 2003 -- PNP chief Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. yesterday ordered the relief of active policemen who were named respondents in the Kuratong Baleleng case. 

Ebdane said the accused police officers would be reassigned to the Headquarters Support Services in Camp Crame to make them available to the court.

The accused police officers who are in active service include Senior Supt. Zorobabel Laureles, Superintendents Almario Hilario and Glenn Dumlao (under the custody of the CIDG for the Dacer case), Chief Inspectors Jose Erwin Villacorte and Gil Meneses, Senior Inspectors Rolando Anduyan and Joselito Esquivel, Insp. Cesar Tanagan, SPO4s Vicente Arnado, Roberto Langcuan, Angelito Caisip, and Antonio Frias, SPO3s Cicero Bacolod, Willy Nuas, Juanito Manaois, and SPO2s Virgilio Paragas, Rolando Jimenez and Cecillio Morito.
