BOMBS FOUND IN DAVAO CITY
Davao City, March 12, 2003 -- Explosives experts detonated two explosive devices found late last night in separate locations in Davao City.
Military information officer Lt Colonel Michael Manquiquis said the first explosive was found at about 10 p.m. on a motorbike parked near a Metrobank office at the corner of Magallanes and Quirino streets in the Bangkerohan district of Davao City. Another explosive was also found and detonated just before midnight.
The explosive devices were found exactly a week after a homemade bomb ripped through the waiting shed at the city's airport, killing 21 and injuring 134 others last Tuesday.
