ROBIN-KRIS KISSING SCENES CREATE A STIR
Quezon City, Feb. 25, 2003 -- Kris Aquino's objected to Robin Padilla's comment that an onscreen kiss is different from a kiss filled with love because "pwede mo nang gawin lahat," a remark he had to explain during the press conference for their movie "You And Me Against the World."
"Hindi natin ginawa lahat, promise," Kris complained.
But Robin explained that he meant otherwise, citing that a personal kiss meant being relaxed with unrestricted movements by his lips to the person he was kissing.
Robin Padilla had to feed 60 needy people every after a kissing scene he did in the movie. Having three kissing scenes in the film meant feeding a total of 180 people, as required by his religion.
Kris' admitted that it was easy to do their kissing scenes because "pareho kaming magaling humalik and may pinagdaanan naman kami."
(Editor's note: Kris and Robin had a controversial relationship 12 years ago which almost resulted in an elopement. The affair ended only after a crying President Cory Aquino greeted the young actress on her birthday by videotape during a live guesting on Inday Badiday's TV show.)
"You and Me Against the World" is about Paolo Guerrero (Robin Padilla), a former criminal trying to live a peaceful life in Mindanao, who gets entangled again in the web of crime when he came back to Manila.
The movie also stars Ramil Rodriguez, Jackie Aquino, MJ Maranan, Ricardo Cepeda, Rommel Padilla and newcomer Elizabeth Burton.
"You and Me Against the World" is directed by Joe Carreon. (By Crispina Martinez-Belen, Bulletin)
