CAP-CAMP JOHN HAY CULTURAL AND TRADE CENTER SITE OF UNIQUE NEW YEAR'S EVE AFFAIR
MANILA, December 28, 2002 (STAR) Visitors to Baguio and Baguio residents will be able to celebrate a unique New Year’s Eve at the highest level in the spectacular surroundings of the newly-built convention center, the CAP—John Hay Cultural & Trade Center, inside the sprawling Camp John Hay in Baguio City.
"We won’t ‘Rock the Boat’, but we shall Rock the Mountains" says Heiner Maulbecker, general manager of the CAP-John Hay Cultural & Trade Center. "This will be the start of the latest tradition at Camp John Hay."
The convention center was specifically built to put back Baguio City in the map as the premier convention destination in Luzon.
"This early, we have already booked the National Advertising Congress for next year," Maulbecker said.
Two of Manila’s most popular bands, K.O. Jones and NTWine will spice up the affair with their rendition of world-class entertainment spanning from the ’60s to ’90s, the Top 40s and more.
Le Souffle, Camp John Hay Manor Hotel’s food concessionaire, is handling the buffet dinner. Among the delicious treats they will serve are: Marinated Salmon in Dill Dressing, Lobster Bisque, Sugar Baked Ham, Prawns in Lemon Honey Sauce, US Black Angus Carving Station, Lengua Estofada, Strawberry and Passion Fruit Souffle, and Chocolate Marquiese.
Tickets for the affair are priced at P1,250 which already includes the New Year’s Eve buffet dinner, live entertainment, party favors and midnight champagne. Dinner and show starts at 8 p.m.
