BOYET-SANDY CHURCH WEDDING IN BATANGAS MOUNTAIN TOP
Quezon City, March 22, 2001 - Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong will have their 6 children, plus Boyet's only son by superstar Nora Aunor, Ian and his wife, the former Issa Vincente, at the their church wedding on March 27 at the Calerwega Church in Nasugbu, Batangas.
It is also expected to be attended by Lotlot and her husband, Ramon Christopher, and their four children. Ditto with Matet, Kenneth and Kiko, Nora's other adoptive children who all carry the surname de Leon.
The wedding will be officiated by Fr. Sonny Ramirez, who also serves as the spiritual adviser of Sandy and Boyet. Reception will follow at the Gourmet's Cafe in Tagaytay.
It was Lolit Solis, "Star Talk" (GMA 7, Saturday) host and professional manager of Boyet and Sandy, who suggested that the couple get married at the Calerwega Church.
"It's actually a small church. Siguro mga 50 people lang ang puwedeng i-accommodate. The church is located on top of a mountain. Kapag nandoon ka, makikita mo ang kabuuan ng Batangas at Cavite.," Lolit further stated.
Boyet and Sandy were married at civil rites a few years back, right after his civil marriage to Nora was annulled. The Church pronounced his marriage to Nora null and void last year.
Boyet said he did not find it necessary for him and Sandy to get married in church.
But he admitted: "Siguro, pangarap na talaga ng bawa't babae ang makita ang sariling lumalakad sa aisle na may music na sumasabay at hinihintay hindi lang ng kanyang groom kung hindi pati ng paring magkakasal sa kanila. I think I owe this to Sandy. Kaya, even if it's a little expensive, I am giving in to her request."
Sandy is back on TV. She plays the mischievous mom of Jolina Magdangal and Camille Pratts in the weekly sitcom, "Arriba Arriba," on ABS-CBN.
Boyet is still hosting "How To Be a Millionaire" on IBC-13
