INA RAYMUNDO BOLDER IN "MADAME X"

Quezon City, June 1, 2000 - FLT Films has a follow-up vehicle for Ina Raymundo, the leading star of FLT Films' ''Burlesk Queen Ngayon,'' which raked in a fortune at the box office. The film is already controversial even before it opens.

''Madame X'' was initially rated ''X'' by the Movie & Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), reconsidered and later "approved without cuts" which makes the movie even more mysterious and attractive.

The frontal nudities remain, as do the sizzling love scenes.

With Ina Raymundo in "Madame X" are Izza Ignacio and Gary Estrada, among others.

Why it was approved without cuts when it was initially tagged rated X?

Jose Carreon, the director who also megged "Burlesk Queen Ngayon," said "because those scenes were relevant and integral to the story. Compared to "‘Burlesk Queen Ngayon,’ ‘Madame X’ has a better story...mas maganda ang istorya nito."

So if "Burlesk Queen Ngayon" made it as one of the top moneymakers in l999, "Madame X" is now expected to equal if not surpass that performance.

"Burlesk Queen Ngayon" was such a sensational success that lady producer "Mommy Rose" Flaminiano vowed to make a follow-up Ina Raymundo-starrer. This is being realized through "Madame X," which they say is even bolder than "Burlesk Queen Ngayon."

Ina will be baring more skin in this film. She also showed everything breast, butt, pubic hair, her "thing" and never regretted having done this.

"You know, I accepted ‘Burlesk Queen Ngayon’ for practical reasons, totoo naman yun, eh. Because of that movie, maraming magagandang nangyari sa career ko," she reasoned out.

As to the impression that she’s now so used to taking off her clothes, showing everything she’s got on cam, Ina disagrees.

"I don’t want to think that I’m already used to nudity, but maybe that is what really is. I can easily take off my clothes now and show what I’ve got, unlike the first time that it was so hard for me to do. I’m much more comfortable shedding off my clothes here in ‘Madame X’ since I’m working with the same team Direk Joe Carreon and Direk Romy Vitug."

The movie, we were told by the PR man, Leo Bukas, has many scenes of frontal nudity, one of them "was the scene after I’ve been raped. It’s a topshot and done in good taste, hindi baboy, that’s why I agreed to do it," Ina said. "Of course, since I was naked, nakita lahat breasts ko, pubic hair but Direk Joecar and Direk Romy said napakaganda raw namang lumabas ang eksenang yun."

After "Madame X," what is there to expect from Ina Raymundo?

"They’re asking for more, kaya heto, gumawa ako ulit ng pelikula katulad ng Burlesk Queen Ngayon. They saw me in this movie, na talagang grabe, and now dito na naman sa Madame X. Siguro after these two films, kuntento na sila. If they still ask for more after Madame X, baka hindi ko na kayang ibigay kasi ayoko namang dumating yung time na porno movie na ang ginagawa ko. I can’t do that. Hindi ko na talaga kaya yun."

Opening on June 14, "Madame X" also stars Robert Arevalo, Alvin Anson, James Harper, and Pinky Amador.
