ERAP CONTINUES MINDANAO MISSIONS TOMORROW
Davao City, Aug. 28, 2000 - President Estrada returns to Davao tomorrow for a three-day official visit of Davao, North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces. It would be the last leg of his August tour of Mindanao before he leaves for a UN Summit in New York on Sept. 6.
Mr. Estrada’s Mindanao mission started here last Aug. 8, from where he flew to visit the cities of General Santos and Zamboanga.
Tomorrow, Estrada is scheduled to launch the P1 million-a-month scholarship for Muslim students at the University of the Philippines-Mindanao campus. He will meet officials of Davao del Norte and speak before a multi-sectoral assembly in the capital of Tagum City on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the President will meet North Cotabato officials at the provincial capital of Kidapawan City before returning to Manila.
Mr. Estrada will also speak before the Mindanao Communicators Congress before meeting with a council of Muslim leaders in Datu Paglas town in Sultan Kudarat on Thursday.
