POPS FERNANDEZ, CONCERT QUEEN, RETURNS JULY 1

Pasig City, May 21, 2000 - Pops Fernandez stages a comeback in the concert scene after three years of absence on July 1 via the concert entitled Shindig.

The show is the first dance concert party to be staged in a large venue like the ULTRA. And with the top on-scene and behind-the-scene concert artists collaborating for this event, the concert will spell the difference and explain why Pops is still the reigning Concert Queen for the past two decades. The first stand-up dance concert ever to be conceptualized, the event will be like a warehouse party!

"I have been preparing for this concert, and I have grouped only the best in concert production. I know that I have been in the concert scene for so long, but this is the most exciting concert that I have ever planned. And I just hope and pray that everyone will watch this concert because no one has ever seen me in a concert like this before!", says Pops excitedly.

Seven top photographers, eight of the best stylists, 10 of the greatest fashion designers, 20 of the top production people including some of the best set and costume designers in the country, a group of the most-established choreographers and dancers, and 10 of the most talented musicians collaborated for this event. And with preparations starting last November, only the best concert is to be expected.

"Not only am I working for the concert, I am also enrolled in dance class to ensure that everyone will enjoy what they have been waiting for the past three years," says Pops.

DSL Productions and ABS-CBN are working hand-in hand for the success of Pops' comeback in the scene.
