MARTIN NIEVERA A HIT IN LAS VEGAS

Manila, May 2, 2000 Here is the latest on singer-TV host Martin Nievera.

Concert King Martin Nievera recently scored another winning performance at the most prestigious and very exclusive Bellagio Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Martin performed together with his father, Bert Nievera and Ara Mina to a sold-out crowd of high rollers (in Vegas, that means big-time casino players), Las Vegas VIP's, ordinary fans and SRO ticket holders.

This is the very first time for Bellagio to invite Filipino entertainers to perform for a high rollers show, and the enthusiastic response prompted the hotel management to open the show to the general public, however, tickets were immediately sold-out prompting the hotel management to release 200 SRO tickets more. This is one rare event, when one can really feel proud as a Filipino, as one can see images of Martin, Bert and Ara in billboards on the Las Vegas strip, reinforcing once more the prestige of the Filipino talent as world class.

Though Bert and Ara definitely delivered good performances, it’s the concert king’s powerful and masterful vocal rendition coupled with his entertaining wit that really captured the crowd.

Martin proved to be such a performer that right after the show, the Bellagio hotel management has another offer for him on the table.

Other hotels followed suit like the management of Caesar’s Palace, as well as Paris Hotel who also witnessed the performance. It looks like the Las Vegas strip is all excited over Martin’s performance and could become his next base.
