FREDDIE’S "ANAK" MAEGAN HOLDS CONCERT FOR KIDS
Antipolo, Metro Manila, April 10, 2000 - Hip, cool and talented singer/musician Maegan, daughter of folk music legend Freddie Aguilar, turned 21 yesterday. As a treat to herself, Megs held a very special concert to benefit the children under Anak Foundation.
The show was held at Ka Freddie’s Music Restaurant along Marcos Highway, in Antipolo, where she was joined by her friends who performed for free as their way of supporting Megs’ "b-day with a cause." Performing were Sampaguita, Kulay, Giselle Sanchez, Stella Ruiz, Chedi Vergara, Majofly, Brown Beat All Stars and many more.
Through this benefit concert and with the help of her friends, Maegan hopes to be able to treat the more than 50 children aged four to six years old under the care of the Anak Foundation to a field trip. She wants to take them to various places in nearby provinces like Tagaytay, Subic, Batangas, Pampanga, and Bulacan.
"This is also my way of giving back all the blessings, big or small, that my family and I have been receiving from God all these years. I am sure these children will be very happy to join this field trip because this is something they have never done before and might never be able to do so in the future," Maegan explained.
