JESSA WALKS OUT ON PHILLIP, ELIZABETH, TIRSO, WILLIAM
Quezon City, March 18, 2000 - Jessa Zaragosa probably feels she is big enough to behave in an unprofessional manner and still stay on top.
The big talk of local tinseltown these days is how Jessa ruined an entire shooting day of “Codename: Verano,” by walking out last March 13, leaving big-name veteran stars waiting on the set in vain.
No amount of persuasion could convince the singer-actress to change her mind. Not even pleas from network top brass: Joie Hernandez (GMA program coordinator) and July Bueta (GMA executive producer).
Fuming over the unprofessionalism of Jessa, Phillip Salvador and director “Bong” Agustin decided to pack up the taping at Audiotorium, along West Avenue.
It was such a big waste, because the other stars aside from Phillip Salvador -- Elizabeth Oropesa, Tirso Cruz III and William Martinez) were already waiting inside Audiotorium for the cue the star shooting.
Jesssa walked out of the taping because of the presence on the set of a person she’s had quarrels with in the past. She did not even worry about her co-stars’ feelings when she walked out without apologizing to them.
But she showed concern about the network VIPs. Before leaving the set, Jessa apologized to Bueta and Hernandez but not to Phillip Salvador and director Carlos Agustin.
