IS CESAR MONTANO MARRYING SUNSHINE CRUZ?

Quezon City, Feb. 10, 2000 The loudest whisper in Philippine show business these days concerns the rumored wedding of Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz, reported by one columnist to be scheduled for April in Las Vegas.

Cesar’s talent manager, Norma Japitana, confirms only that the Cesar and Sunshine are very much in love, and although she believes there are no wedding plans as yet, she will not be surprised if the couple should decide to get hitched.

Angela, Cesar’s 18-year-old daughter, is only three years younger than Sunshine, her possible future stepmother.

Norma thinks Angela and her younger brother Angelo will understand if their father decided to have another wife soon.

“Matagal na ring widower si Cesar; it’s high time he remarries,” Norma said.

Cesar’s image as a father is among the best in the entertainment world.

“As a father, there is no doubt that he’s tops. His children are always given priority. Every Sunday, the three of them go to church together (at the Bread of Life Church near their Quezon City home). At times when Cesar has a Saturday overnight shoot, he comes home Sunday morning to go straight to church with his kids, and goes to bed only after church,” Norma narrates.

Norma denies that Cesar had anything to do with Sunshine’s decision to stop appearing in bold films.
