JENNIFER UY, FILIPINO VOCAL ARTIST HITS TORONTO STAGE

Canada, January 16, 2000 -- Classically trained vocal artist, Jennifer
N. Uy, is back with the Toronto Operetta Theatre (TOT), Toronto’s only
professional operetta company, in the stage production of The Gypsy
Baron by Johann Strauss, Jr.
In 'The Gypsy Baron' was Ms.
Uy’s second appearance as part of TOT’s choral ensemble. Her first involvement
was in TOT’s spring production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore,
which won rave reviews from the top Toronto daily, The Globe and Mail.
The Gypsy Baron ran from December 23, 1999 to January 8, 2000 at the Jane
Malett Theatre (St. Lawrence Centre for the Performing Arts). For more
