LEVISTE TOPS SOUTHEAST ASIAN
WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

A Filipina has topped the six-leg competition around Malaysia, Singapore
and Thailand to capture the World Cup Showjumping Qualifiers, Southeast
Asian League.
Toni Leviste, daughter of former Batangas Governor Tony Leviste and stepdaughter of Senator Loren Legarda, was aboard her Irish mare Cartier's Leap of Faith and garnered a total of 82.5 points.
Second and third places went to Malaysian siblings Quabil and Quzier Ambak with 81 and 75 points respectively.
Mikee Cojuangco, daughter of former Tarlac Governor Tingting Cojuangco and Congressman Peping Cojuangco, came in fourth place aboard GMA7 Luisita, with a total of 74 points.
As overall winner of the league, Leviste has a chance to compete with the world's top riders in the World Cup Finals to be held in Sweden next year. The World Cup Finals is one of the most prestigious events in the sport.
Leviste and Cojuangco, along with Vittoria Barba and Melissa Loinaz, will represent the Philippines in the Asian Games in Bangkok next month.
