MANAGERS' GUILD IMPOSES BAN ON MICKEY FERRIOLS
Manila, Nov. 23, 1998 - A typical middle-class apartment was the scene of the Mickey Ferriols, the co-host of "Eat Bulaga" and co-star of "1 for 3" has been slapped a one-year ban by the powerful Professional Artists Managers, Inc. (PAMI) for violating an agreement with her erstwhile manager, Chit Ramos.
For one year, PAMI members will not allow their wards (the movie stars, singers and other talents in their respective stables) to work with Mickey in any movie. On television, their wards may guest on Eat Bulaga and 1 for 3 but should not share the same frame with Mickey. Which should complicate life for directors and script writers of TV shows.
PAMI arrived at this resolution after hearing Chit's complaints last Wednesday night and Mickey's explanation the following evening.
Chit Ramos complained that Mickey broke her word and refused to transfer to another channel, violating their original agreement and exposing the manager to humiliation.
Mickey claims her manager entered into an agreement with the other channel without her prior knowledge or consent.
Mickey is rumored to be the girl seriously being considered for a trip to the altar by presidential son Jude Estrada, who has left his movie career to assist his dad as a helicopter pilot doing rescue and relief work in Central Luzon.
