INTERNATIONAL RELEASE
Manila, Oct. 5, 1998 -
Viva Records proudly announced the signing of a long-term agreement with
sultry songstress Regine Velasquez, in a joint venture with MJF Productions
of Los Angeles, California.
Under the terms of the contract signed at the Polo Lounge of the Beverly Hills Hotel, MJF will produce 6 albums to be marketed worldwide by a major US label. Viva will handle marketing and distribution in the Philippines.

Regine started her recording career with Viva Records in 1986. It was with Viva that she made her early hits "Urong Sulong" and "Isang Lahi." It was also with Viva that she made her movies "Wanted: Perfect Mother" and "Do-Re-Mi."
Her first album under the new tie-up will be released late this year, in time for the Christmas holiday season.
