LEA RETURNING TO MISS SAIGON ROLE?

Manila, Sept. 27, 1998 - There has been no confirmation nor denial so far of the exciting newsbreak on the country's most famous international singing star Lea Salonga: that Lea is returning to Broadway to play Kim, the tragic heroine of Miss Saigon.

It's been two days since Philippine Star's entertainment editor Ricky Lo first broke the story in his column, and there's been to word from Lea's camp.

Ricky wrote that his New York mole has information that "Lea has been offered by the Miss Saigon producers the Kim role and, while negotiations are still going on, it's 100 percent sure that Lea will say yes and start her stint in January nest year."

Ricky added that his column's New York mole "is standing by for the negotiations between Lea (and her mom Ligaya Salonga) and the Miss Saigon people."
