MS. ROSANNA ROCES, FILM PRODUCER

Manila, Sept. 15, 1998 - Rosanna Roces is still the undisputed box office queen, as evidenced by an unbroken string of commercially successful movies. Osang, who has been around a few years, has proven her staying power by graduating from the label of bold star.

She's proven her mettle as a TV talk show host, concert queen, dramatic actress. And soon, she will make another historic career leap, as line producer for Viva Films.

The Manila Times reports that Rosanna will be the line producer of KATAWAN, KALULUWA which will also feature her as the star opposite drama king Christopher de Leon. Also in the movie are Leandro Baldemor and former beauty queen Dindi Gallardo.

KATAWAN, KALULUWA will go beyond testing Rosanna's acting. As line producer and co- financier, she will shell out money which she herself will have to judiciously budget.

But she is not scrimping on talent fees, as shown by her line-up of co-stars. Even the director she chose is top-rated. The film will be megged by Abbo de la Cruz and written by his brother Uro de la Cruz, who has just directed the hit flick Sagad sa Init, starring Jomari Yllana and Ara Mina.

Rosanna's non-showbiz husband Tito Molina will be assisting her in the production side. The husband-and-wife team is also responsible for the film's story.

The KATAWAN, KALULUWA stars and crew are now in Lucban, Quezon, where the movie is being shot.
