HOTDOG BAND ON THE COMEBACK TRAIL
Manila, Aug. 30, 1998 - After over a decade, legendary '70s band HOTDOG returns tot he recording scene with a new album, which introduces new songs that are expected to continue the group's tradition of successful hits.
Hotdog's comeback album "50/50" is released by Orbit Music. Half of the lineup are the band's greatest hits, while the other half comprises new tracks which carry components that made Hotdog's music a lasting favorite through the decades.
"The new album is radically different from our past outings but the Hotdog attitude remains the same," asserts Dennis Garcia, who with brother Rene has always been the band's moving force.
"Hindi Ko Kailangan ng Viagra" captures a man's feelings for the woman of his life. The other songs in the album are reflective of the lifestyle of today's generation.
"Hotdog is similar to a Coke bottle. It's forever young. It never grows old," Dennis describes the group's appeal.
The new album "50/50" by the Hotdog band is now fast rising in the record charts and is expected to lead the way for the revival of other hitmakers of the '70s.
