ALMA CONCEPCION ARRIVES IN MANILA

Aquino International Airport, Aug. 28, 1998 - Pensive but obviously much relieved, actress Alma Concepcion waded through hundreds of journalists, cameramen and photographers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport where she arrived last night on board a commercial flight from Guam.

Showing very little trace of the harrowing experience of a month behind bars on the American island territory, the former Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Hawaiian Tropics was not inclined to discuss details of her case with reporters.

A plea bargain by her defense lawyer resulted in a lighter charge and sentence for the actress, who was caught with a small amount of "shabu" or methamphetamine hydrochloride at the Guam International Airport last month while on her way home from Saipan after crowning a local beauty queen.
